Friday DE: Flash Fic

Let's do a round of flash fic today.

Steps are simple:
1 - Comment with the character(s) you'd like to play with.
2 - Read other people's comments and give them a prompt for writing.
3 - Read and write with any prompts you receive. Fic can be any length. 
4 - Repet. 

Prompts can can be anything from a song title to a word to a canon quote to an AU idea. Whatever inspires or catches your fancy.

Set in the notional fourth season of 'Hannibal'

Hannibal Lecter had never been a stranger to any part of day or night; but observing him more closely, Will Graham now found him to be especially chipper in the mornings, early or late, getting much of his day's plans out of the way between his first sip of coffee and a salad at lunchtime, when the Cuban heat would set in and lassitude started its reign.

Whenever Will stumbled into the kitchen during that time, however early, Hannibal would be awake already, busy with some culinary project, and offering coffee with a smile.

One morning, there was something new -- a small grey fluffy dog sedated on the counter while Hannibal was using all his surgical skill to stitch up her injured left fore-paw.

"Who is that?" Will asked, yawning.

"You may name her," Hannibal said, turning to him. "We are keeping her. Nothing like an early-rising pet to sweeten up the mornings."
