Monday DE: Still life with a....
Back in art school, in a basic skills class, I remember an assignment that was to create a still life that was also a self portrait, using objects that you felt represented you. If your character were to do a similar project, what objects would they chose?
Bonus points for any meta on the meaning of those objects.

Sabine: Her helmet (representing her heritage and tech skill), her blasters (representing her fighting skills), her paint sprayer (representing her art), and a defaced Imperial logo (representing her past and present defiance of that past).
Sam: A falcon feather (his love of flight), some oranges (his sunny disposition and love of breakfast), a shield (his call to defend), and a first aid badge (his call to heal).
Danny: A baseball hat with the Rand Enterprises logo, green and yellow monk robes from K'un Lun, a giant pretzel. The meanings seem clear to me.
Selina: A leather jacket, goggles, combat boots, and a switchblade. All are her armor and all she'll let anyone see, with a few exceptions.
Tybalt: A volume of Shakespeare's collected works, a hope chest, a breakfast pastry, and a sprig of pennyroyal. The piece would also have a lot of shadows.
More later I think.

Also probably an actual literal pile of trash, because Graverobber is, if nothing else, committed to his goddamn aesthetic.

Cassian: his captain's insignia and personal id with his lullaby pill to represent his commitment to the Rebellion, his escape kit/lockpicks for his adaptability, his flight vest or a star chart for his piloting, his blaster for the hard stuff he does and ideally Kay
Charles: his dissertation, a DNA model, I'm not sure what he would choose to represent all the other mutants or Erik. For all that he's someone with a lot of material possessions, most of what he thinks of in terms of identity isn't tangible
Quentin: his livery for the Duchy, something from his favorite band, his sword and a bloodstain
Sameth: his surcoat, a sword, something he's made
William: a gun, a bridle, Ben's sketch of his father, a book, something of Mark's
Ivan: his rank insignia-his service, a comm badge-for how he's always on call to someone, I don't know what else
Demeter: a sheaf of wheat, a clod of earth, a lock of her daughter's hair
Moist: his forging kit, a fast horse and an elegant suit
Tumnus: Lucy's hankerchief, his father's portrait and a history of Narnia
Will S.: his knife from Robin, leaves from Sherwood, a few coins for his past as a thief

Pam: a pair of pink stiletto heels (girlie, but can kill you).
Floki: a Viking ship (his livelihood, his passion) with an eye painted on the sail (his connection to the gods), wreathed with wildflowers (Helga and his love for her).
Cassidy: a bottle of whiskey, a blood bag, and a pair of sunglasses. He wouldn't have any explanation, the objects have no real meaning, it's just shit he needs, but the way they're artfully arranged looks cool.
