Monday DE: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

God, I'm so damn tired. I might be a heavy sleeper, but the sound of not one but two hedgestrimmers more than two hours before my alarm is pushing it even for me...

So.

Is your pup a light sleeper, or can they sleep anywhere and through anything? Does it have to be pitch black for them to doze off, or does it make no difference? Do they have any other requirements/preferences for sleeping?

Wilson and Wormwood (and Wendy, who occasionally appears in All-Skates) can sleep through basically anything that isn't immediately and personally menacing them. This includes audibly approaching monsters, as long as they're not right on top of them. Shadow monsters can actually be driven away by doing this, since well-rested Don't Starve characters are less likely to have the critically low sanity that allows them to manifest, and in the original game they can't hurt sleeping players at all. (In Don't Starve Together they can attack players sleeping out in the open, but if you're in a tent or lean-to they lurk outside until you wake up unless another player disturbs them.) Wormwood is more prone to sleeping during the daytime since they have a Siesta Lean-to instead of a tent (it doesn't need as much silk) and Wilson's sleep cycle goes a bit off the rails in the world with no daylight that he passes through in the first game, but it doesn't give either of them difficulty sleeping at night when they want to.

Bastion dislikes going into sleep mode, which for an omnic is a way of limiting power consumption while their battery charges from their fuel supply or a wall outlet. Omnics don't dream, so it's not because of that; they just don't like being mostly unaware of what's happening around them. When they do end up in sleep mode (most likely from overextending themself) they're a very heavy sleeper who can only be roused by a full charge, a scheduled alarm, or some intensely startling stimulus like a fall or a loud noise.

Thurlow struggles with nightmares and sometimes also insomnia; some of it's trauma, some of it's that they're constantly stressed from overworking themself, and some of it is that living in the Neath gives you weird, unsettling recurring dreams even under the best circumstances. Falling asleep in the first place is usually not the most difficult part compared to staying asleep for a reasonable portion of the night. Lack of darkness isn't usually a problem, though, since the only difference between night and day in Fallen London is the level of artificial lighting and the number of people on the streets.

Aradia used to live on the outskirts of town and isn't really used to sleeping with a lot of other people close by, just her lusus, so she's one of the lighter sleepers. She doesn't need it to be very dark, because trolls are nocturnal and evolved to sleep in shady spots during the day so that they could avoid the harsh, intense light of Alternia's sun.

Cirava is from the same nocturnal species, but prone to staying up all day for no reason from time to time, and has a higher tolerance for noise. They like to sleep with music playing in the background.
