Hagrid's Mun, Amy is down with strep throat and the flu. It'll probably be a few more days til either one of us is up to making an appearance, but Amy will still try to check her e-mail if she's needed.

This is not at all connected to Milliways, but given the data stored in the muns' collective minds and in our libraries, I think it's of note.

The NY Times Book Review is putting together a literary map of Manhattan. (Sorry, folks, not TV, film or comics, so alas we can't place Ghostbusters Central there.) The map will indicate the homes, hangouts and offices of characters in novels, short stories and poems.

And they need our help. See below for the article announcing this project, and where to send information by e-mail and snail mail.

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/01/books/review/01COHENHO.html?

The deadline for submissions is May 11, and the map will be published on paper and online on June 5.

I know that the Dark Tower books are full of Manhattan addresses, so I leave it to the DT folken to thumb yet again through their well-worn copies and find everything we need to get King's version of NY on the map. (And sorry, Eddie Dean, but this map is not of Brooklyn. That may come later, though I don't know if there will be room for AU versions of Co-Op City on it.)

[Note: I'm assuming that all involved made it safely back to Milliways in time to detox and get some sleep before the wedding. Also, red is apparently the new black since it appears only Faith and Sara get through the night without blushing.]

Mel tells Sara and Ace about the differences between what she knows as New York, and the Las Vegas they're currently in.

Claire and Sara briefly talk about Vegas, then Claire acquires drinks and lap dances for the bride to be.

Ace and Sara trade Gaston horror stories. Faith wins at everything with tying him up with her bra. Sara and Ace offer to be backup if Faith needs to remove his testicles.

Faith and Sara talk shop about how Sara reserved the club at such short notice, and Sara has opportunity to imagine Connor naked. Faith appropriately reaffirms her claim to him.

Sara then demonstrates her inability to watch what she says around Ace, which ensures her next birthday will be memorable.

Svava and Ace admire the scenery.

Svava asks Snow White whether or not such a place like Chippendales is normal.

Snow provides a tipsy Ace with fodder for her imagination. Tim should enjoy their wedding night.

And finally, Alanna and Ace discuss the merits of oily boys.

The moral of the story is--well, there is no moral. Enjoy.

So. [livejournal.com profile] is_a_boy and [livejournal.com profile] alas_alas (Blaise and Echo) won't be in for the next week and a half. I really really really need to concentrate on my studies, and RPing several hours a day when I should be working on labs isn't helping my grades.

So. I shall miss you all, but it is for the best. See you all on the flip side.

*hugs*

Sorry that I've been away much longer than expected. Got hit with a plethora of papers and homework and the like at the end of the semester, and just never really had the time. But now I'm back! And I've got the entire summer to have fun. So, here's a quick recap of the Cole plot that happened in his absence.

Cole is stripped of his demonic form. Immediately afterwards, he is pulled back home. After a week of being trapped in the Manor, Cole sets a plan in motion to rekindle Phoebe's faith in Love. After a brief brush with Piper in the spirit realm, Cole's planning comes to and end, and Phoebe's faith is restored. Saying a final goodbye to his friend, Cole attempts to return to Milliways, but is instead diverted to the Battlefield of the Not!Tim

And now he (and likewise all my other characters) are back to active.

Of course, there is the small matter of his Demonic form sitting in an energy cage in his room... And I'm sure that the cage is beginning to run low on energy...

Okay, you may have been wondering where me and my characters have been as of late. No, I'm not neglecting Milliways. ( Never! )

Rather, I am bombarded with stuff to do. I have a performance this week, next week, and then prom. So if you don't see me in Milliways much, that's it.

Just thought I'd tell everyone.

I have a Peter Pevensie who needs breaking, and lots of it.

Specifically, he's used to being in control, and he's used to seeing moral issues as Black and White. I need him to encounter a lot of grey areas, and I need him to have no control.

Honestly, I don't want to know what your character is going to do to him. Talk to him once; talk to him every day; get to be good friends with him and betray him. Just don't tell me.

But the next several weeks are Open Season on Peter Pevensie, who is currently here, but will be around a lot.
