So, there is now this sign up in the bar, as Campbell has another litter of Dobermans and is looking to sell.

He is not the most easy dog seller, as he looks for the people best for the dogs, and thus will not be giving a pup to the first seven people, but the best ones.

Which is entirely IC. My opinions don't count. Campbell is more of a choosy and elitist person than I am, I emphasize, IC.

But! If you are, in fact, interested in getting your character a dog, and they are also interested in getting a dog -- mind you, a very large dog with big teeth, these are not the kind you give your kids -- please to tag the post.

Thanks much!

As of this post, Barry Allen has left the Bar forever, and is now retired. Feel free to have your pup react to his departure.

My thanks to everyone who has RPed with my speedster pup over the last 18 months and who has made this part of my life so much fun.

Seeya in the Bar, as my other pups are just getting warmed up.

As mentioned in this thread, we now have someone on Security who is in charge of trying to keep track of the who/why/how long of our "guests" in the cells. So, I need to double-check who's actually incarcerated at the moment. According to my count, right now it's:
  • Bernard "Do As I Say And Not As I Do" Wrangle
  • Melaka Fray
  • Narcissa Malfoy
  • Beatrix Kiddo
  • Sonia Belmont
  • Ro-Man
  • Possibly a kangaroo?
  • ETA: Stephanie Brown
  • ETA: Mandy(?)
Anybody I'm missing?

Hokay, this thing is getting kinda drawn out and unwieldy and all, and there seems to be soe flagging enthusiasm.

So, with that in mind, if any of y'all want to pull your pups- now or after their current run or whatever- pls post here. Or, if you're shy or something, there's always email (furikku at gmail dot com) or AIM (SeraFurikku).

I guess you could call me or like leave a note on my door, except I don't think anyone in the plot currently knows where I live or anything so that'd be kind of creepy.

But y'know, Furikku doesn't care as long as she knows if people don't want to go any further. Because I'm juggling a jillion of you guys and I don't want to be bugging people who don't want to play anymore!

As some of you may, or may not know. My sister gets home tomorrow. This means my internet time for a few weeks, especially my late nights, will be significantly reduced.

It also means I'm trying to get plot done now. So hopefully this week, I'll at least get started.

Once upon a time, (in Lynette and Viv's Millicanon for Neverwhere) an Opener family took up residence in the Underside. Openers were, and still are, fairly rare, and to ensure their line continued without having to intermarry, a ritual evolved to bind those "worthy of the blood" to their spouses by oath and magic, thus turning these outsiders into Openers.

Door didn't want to marry Tom at first. If he wasn't found worthy by the ritual, he would die during it. However, there was scandalous talk, and Door was under a great deal of pressure as Head of House. She chose to put Tom through the ritual. The rules required that he knew nothing of the danger and nothing about what would happen, but he passed the ritual just fine, and became an Opener and Lord of the House of Arch.

The ritual was often used for political marriages - many Openers loved their significant others too much to risk their lives, so would ally with someone else to bear children to continue the line. For ocuples who did love each other, it was tradition to have a wedding ceremony sometime after, since the ritual was more about necessity as opposed to joy.

Tom asked Door to marry him the night of the ritual, and they've wanted to do so for a while - they were just waiting for the right time. Then real life complications set in, and schedules didn't match and hands didn't type as long as they used to, and so we decided to have them run off and marry in a special, meaningful way just for them. Since most of the bar probably assumes they're already married - they are Lord and Lady after all - they won't make a fuss about it IC.

But they'll let the people close to them know, and Tom and Door will be wearing wedding bands for those observant enough to notice. La!

So this one time, in a chat room, Becca and I got all crazy and started an in-bar paper. Real articles! Subscription via watching the community! Columns! Interviews! Ads! Way more than we were ever able to keep up with, because it turns out our fake RP newspaper was almost as much work as a real one. So we took our dried frog pills and thought about it and here's the new plan.

The Say True will come out every Sunday, as before, only the vast majority of the content if not ALL the content will be handwaved. If people have great ideas for an article and want to write one up or want to handwave a report of something showing up in paper for plot or the hell of it we can do that. Ditto with columns, ads, etc.

So basically, Sundays (when we remember. which will be always. probably) there will be a post going "New Say True is out," linking to articles or columns or ads if there are any, giving rough outline of what is in paper if news needs to be reported and no one had time to write it up, and if not we will all just collectively handwave some amusing content and people can read it in their entrance posts, do the crossword, or whatever.

Staff stuff may get a little re- or better organized, to account for absences, etc, and there'll be a post about that in comm.

Any questions? Comment or email away!

Hi everyone!

Question ... If I want to post pieces of fic, or background information in the character journal, is there any particular protocol I need to follow (such as giving it an OOM tag)?

I look forward to playing ... if anyone wants to ping me with questions or anything, my mun journal is [livejournal.com profile] ciliandis.

Thanks,

~ Ang
