An announcement:

I'll start by saying, this is something I've been thinking about for a while, so it's not a decision I've made lightly and it's not that I've lost the 'head voices', just that the pups need to move on. So, at the end of March, two of my current pups will be retired from Milliways.

I haven't decided exactly how they're going to leave, but I'll have that worked out before they make their final exits.

The pups in question are Van Helsing (x_van_helsing_x) and Connor MacLeod (macleod_connor). They both have enjoyed their time at Milliways, but it's time for them to move on to other things. Van Helsing has found the place to be something of a refuge from his work and Connor, a place that appears randomly on the other side of his elevator.

Van Helsing was my first ever LJ RPG pup and he's been at Milliways for almost 2 years. He's been through a lot, both in and out of the bar - a lot of it in the background, but he's there. And Connor was one of my first RPG pups ever back in a fic-based/list-based RPG and I brought him over to Milliways about a year and a half ago and he's had a lot of fun, but he feels it's time to move on and do a bit of head hunting.

So, for the month of March - these two will be played exclusively, with my other pups strictly on a 'request only' basis.

After Van Helsing and Connor take their final bows, the others will return. I just want to wrap up the two who will retire first.

The LJs will remain mine, b/c I use them elsewhere, so they'll still be there.

Anyone who wants to chat with them before they go, should do so over the next five weeks, because they won't be back after that.

Any currently open slowtimes with pups that are not Van Helsing or Connor will be completed as I have time.

FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

I was settling down to a nice night of RPing when my connection went more dodgy than usual. (And if you ever talk to me on AIM, you know that 'more dodgy than usual' is very, very dodgy indeed.) It's lost its WEP key, which, as far as I can gather, was set by the Computer Guy and I have no idea how to obtain. The Computer Guy has moved to Wales. I don't want this to turn into a Saga, but I may not be back tonight, and unless this sorts itself out, I may not be back for a while, as the room where the family computer is is very, very cold.

Conversely, I may be back momentarily. If not, I'm sorry, people who have just started threading with my boy.

I'm going to cry if this turns into a Saga.

I've been sick all week. I feel like well-roasted crap. I have an eight hour course today, one I have every other week. My family is away and I'm curled up with my puppy. It is well and truly cold and icky and windy and it's a half an hour's drive to my school.

Go to class?

Go to class and try and stick it out as long as I can?

OR stay the hell home, curl up into a little ball of dead Danii and grey fluffball and play for a while uninterrupted by siblings and parents for great sanity?

So some of you are cursed but I haven't gotten to thread with you yet (or Lynne hasn't, or Ashie, or Star, or see-the-list).

This is a Sad Thing because you don't get to be violent and we don't get to be varied levels of "Oh shit" and "What the fuck".

SO!

If you have not had a chance to go after someone, and you want a chance to do so...post in here. We will bend over backward to make sure you get to fight someone! Even if its played over slowtime and takes several days, we will get it done! No target unmolested!

In the same venue, if you have not been attacked, and you want to be attacked, please follow the two step procedure of: Posting here and posting in Milliways with "Target-(looks like X)" in your post.

I can say that I, personally, am perfectly willing to have anything that can eventually be healed (even if its by yo-yo'ing Arithon out the front door) happen to the little bastard. For reference I point out the shooting of yesterday and the torture of some months past.

Last thing:
Hero types! The time has come to start wandering into Asandir, Arithon, Ramon, and possibly Moiraine threads and mention your abilities with light and/or shadows. Please to recall that this is not "good and/or evil", but light and/or shadows on a non-metaphysical level. *sheepish* Also please to post down here if you have "shadows" instead of light so that we can partner people up, otherwise each person will be "partnered" with Ari.

To people threading with Lucius: I am so sorry. For some reason, my brain has exploded, and I seem to have lost Lucius' voice for the evening. I will pick up threads tomorrow after church, say sorry.
