Okay. Since yesterday was quite a strange day for me, Samantha's baby shower is going to be slowtimed over the week, so we can have time to do it. I'm sorry, I should have been more organised.

GAAAH DAMMIT.  Wrote this whole thing in IE, and then my *&%^& laptop decided to do the whole "oh, you're moving across the trackpad to the left! You must want to go back to the previous page, instead of, you know, MOVING THE POINTER."

Anyway, two things.

1) Apologies to all those that I was chatting/threading with last night for disappearing, Trillain decided to be a bitch which apparently set off a chain reaction in my comp and I had to shut down for the night.  Am getting to the threads now, and so will not be on IM so I can concentrate on tagging all the threads (also as family is coming over in a bit, so won't be able to chat but will try to reply to tags).  But if you want to ping me, go here and leave me a comment!  Also if I haven't tagged a tag of your pup's from yesterday within the next hour, just comment--I might have missed that thread when I was finding them all.

2)  Yay, Emmy awards are on tonight, and I was thinking it would be fun to have some real-time snark on the awards show with anyone whose comp is close to their TV.  Was thinking of starting another chatroom for it, so we don't clog crackchat, unless people don't mind the awards show watchers being chathogs.  Preference?

Two years ago, a teenaged girl walked into Milliways Bar, found a table, pulled out a notebook, and started chronicling her oberservations. Before long, she found friends, even found family, got married, and found herself a new life, a life of her own, even finding a name for herself apart from her family and her brothers.

Pan out...
Two years ago, a twenty-something found Milliways Bar, apped a character, created a journal, and started making a life for a certain character which she felt got a bad rap in canon. Before long, she too found family, found friends, and through it all, found herself, even when her life fell apart and she didn't know what to do.

I've been in this bar two years, dear friends, dear Milli-family. I can't even begin to tell you what it's meant to me, what it's done for me. I've never ever seen a community like this anywhere else. We've created something amazing, are still creating it today. Thank you; each and every one of you, even if I haven't threaded with you ever, for making Milliways the amazing place it is, and for letting me be a part of it for so long.

I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, and neither are either Valentine or Mark.

We raise a glass, you bet your ass, to... Milliways Bar! Here's to another year, and more.
