*cackling* Oh my god why has this not been pimped yet.

It all starts with Tyler and Pip getting into the snowball fight . . . and escalates from there. Just. READ.

Other pimps? C'mon! There was quite a bit of good stuff last night that I saw, including Sarah Jane and James . . . not really making up, with help from Guppy, and Monkey and Mary's ideas about the penal system.

ETA: Oh, right. Not having had a pimp post for a couple days, feel free to pimp stuff from a few days back as well, of course. Duhr. Sorry -- my brain resembles a sieve right now. I blame finals.

Who's finished a slowtime recently?

Two Watchers talk shop. Andrew Wells and Wesley Wyndham-Pryce discuss a number of things, including Wesley's current situation and a bit of research that's been giving Andrew trouble lately.

I'd like to hold it sometime between the 19th and the 23rd of this month. For those who have signed up already to organize/play/both, or anyone who would like to do so now: what does your schedule look like?

For the couple of people in slowtime with [livejournal.com profile] fortunes_phase... those'll have to stay in slowtime. I have strep throat (thanks to Roger), and this is hitting me pretty hard. So, I will catch up with her slowtimes when I can actually stay in an upright position for more than ten minutes without getting nauseous and dizzy. :)

One day I'll get sick of spamming the back room with all the jobs I keep giving myself, and certainly stop asking you guys to help me out.

Today is not that day.

As you can see, the milliways_bar del.icio.us account is already growing strong, as I add summaries, ToCs and memory lists you all provided on yesterday's post. The tag bundles along the side so far include tags for canons, characters, npcs, overviews (communities, summaries, etc) and plots, as I think this covers everything. As yet I'm not quite down to linking individual threads, though this might change when I start collecting bar-wide plots.

What I need from you today is all the active Milliways-related communities. I've gone through the ones on the sidebar, but there are more, I know it! Don't worry if it's never used, but the ones that you think people should actually know about.

Also - if anyone has bookmarked pages they think indispensable for Milliways -players, let me know that too.

Finally, if you're willing to actually help link harvest for the account, please let me know, and I'll email you with the login details.

Love you all, and thanks for all your help so far.

Hey, guys.

First and foremost, for those of you reading up on the James and Sarah saga: thank you. Seriously, thank you. It's always great to know people are paying attention, and that you've all been so enthusiastic is nothing short of wonderful.

But there is a "however."

We understand a lot of your pups feel sympathetic towards Sarah and angry at James. We acknowledge that a lot of you have pups who would like to intervene in any way possible, by being helpful to Sarah Jane or confronting James on Sarah Jane's behalf. However, the recent IC reaction to the conflict is, to be honest, making an already breaky plot not fun for us. We appreciate that you and your pups want to ICly help, but our pups don't need vigilantes. They need friends. They need people who are not going interfere and make an already bad situation worse by creating more conflict.

If you really and truly feel that your pup should be involved, feel free to contact either of us. Our contact information is available on [livejournal.com profile] callitavesper's and [livejournal.com profile] his_sarah_jane's userinfos. By default, however, we would prefer that your pup not interfere. If they want to provide Sarah Jane with comfort or at least try to listen to James' side of the story (though, ha! good luck trying to pry information from him!), that's fine, but we really don't want anymore conflict. Thank you.

First off? Y'all are crazy awesome.

Secondly? Everyone's welcome to keep fighting. I've been headachey/tired today and can't keep up with the fight, but that's no reason for everyone else to let it drop off if there are still people who want in. FIGHT AWAY, FAIR CITIZENS!

One of these was posted several months ago, but, well, that was several months ago (I think; I don't seem to be able to find the post), and we've had a number of new players join up since then, and besides, there are always more people to get to know around these parts! With that said, here's how this works:

If you're up to being LJ-friends with more Milliways folk, post your personal journal's username below. Your own name could also be helpful, along with some indication of who you play or interests or what sorts of things you like to talk about in your journal or what you ate for breakfast this morning, but those are all just suggestions! (Not the breakfast one, though. We take our breakfast very seriously at Milliways. *solemn*)

You post, other people see it and say, ':OOOOO! So-and-so plays such-and-such; friends now!' or 'Wow, this person seems neat. Friend!' and then friend you. Meanwhile, you also get to troll through the list looking for neat people to friend, and, in general, it is a Milliways friendingaganza. Too, it happens to be a fantastic excuse to get to know that cool person over there who you've been fangirl/fanboying for ages.

Comment notifications are turned off, and -- go. :)

I'm sure you all know what to do when confronted with a zombie: Destroy the brain or remove the head by any means possible. And that's all very well and good! But! [livejournal.com profile] undead_ed is different! You do not want to destroy his brain or remove his head even though he is a zombie because he's also [livejournal.com profile] got_red's best friend. So, here's what the deal is on Zombie Ed.

- He's been trained not to attack or eat people, and so for the most part, he's docile and actually quite friendly and amusing in his own way.
- He can't carry on a conversation, but he does understand basic commands that, for instance, animal trainers would utter.
- He's been weaned off raw human flesh.
- He wears shackles on his wrists and a collar attached to a chain for safe and easy handling.
- ETA: He can be distracted with an offer of beer.

Do not surprise him, make any sudden moves around him, or act aggressively toward him. This will result in grabbyness and/or biteyness. You do not want him to bite you. As the mun, I won't let him do that to your character, but he might come frighteningly close to doing so. You can try it if you like a good scare.

That being said, it would be wonderful if someone on the security team would be present whenever Ed comes into the bar. Trained or not, zombie behavior is still unpredictable. If Ed needs to be detained in a cell for whatever reason, then so be it. [livejournal.com profile] got_red will then come around to collect him if he gets into trouble.

And that's it.

Have fun with the zombie!
