Ok, so I've been studying here in Egypt for a semester now, and on Dec. 18, I'll be meeting my parents here and we'll be traveling around until Jan. 3.

I'm really not sure at all what my internet situation will be - I'll be busy with traveling, but I'm also not expecting much in the way of WiFi, especially once we leave Cairo. I do think there will be plenty of places where I'll be able to access the internet, but obviously that will still mean my access will be limited. I know I have slowtimes with people as [livejournal.com profile] kayip and [livejournal.com profile] ellectrical, and I'll make sure to tag those when I get the chance.

But I'll be heading back to the States on Jan. 3, so... at least my timezones won't be as wonky then.

Anyway, I'll still probably be able to check e-mail fairly frequently if anyone needs to contact me. And will probably be able to handle extremely intense slowtime.

Aside from that, Happy Holidays! And I wish those of you who are dealing which such things good luck on your exams/papers/end of the semester madness.

Where's the weirdest place you've found good icon fodder for your pups?

There's this horrible scifi movie with Jason Patrick, Morena Baccarin and Adam Baldwin about Egypt and mummies and such, and Aly made Mal/Inara icons with Morena/Jason caps. I was affrighted, but they turned out really well.

As of this post, Kit Baxter, aka the Flying Squirrel, has returned to Milliways. I say 'returned' because I had apped her back in February, but dropped her after about a month because I was having trouble playing her. Now that I have more RP experience, I feel confident in my ability to do her justice.

For plot reasons, I've rebooted her--this version of Kit Baxter has never been to Milliways before.

One other thing you should know: Kit's super-suit has microfibers of a magic-resistant alloy woven into the fabric, rendering her virtually undetectable by magical or supernatural means. If your pup is psychic or otherwise sensitive to magic, Kit is effectively not there whenever she's wearing the leotard. (A more detailed description of this and some of the other crime-fighting gear she's got may be found in Kit's LJ.)

If you have some time to kill, I recommend listening to Kit's canon, the Canadian podcast Decoder Ring Theatre. If you're a fan of old-school radio drama and/or old-school pulp superheroes, you'll love it.
