Your character opens the door to leave Milliways only to find out that, for whatever reason, it doesn't open onto their world but instead dumps them into someone else's for a time. Kind of like the Stone Angels plot from a few years back only no angels involved. Where do they end up and how long do you imagine they last before either escaping to Milliways or deciding 'ooh, mama/papa/mitotic or other parent of indeterminate sex/gender like'?

Nightmare before Christmas Phase 3

Happy weekend, folks!

Phase 3 of TNBC plot is now live with the disappearance of Father Christmas.

Oogie will be long gone by the time anyone else gets there (otherwise the rest of the plot won't work, lol), but feel free to hear something, see a glimpse, or go 'what's with this random pile of snow' etc.

Gene is leading the investigation at this point, but feel free to go all amateur detective on the thing. We have one alternate suspect, Ava, as the person behind summoning the monster. If anyone else wishes to act suspiciously, just get in touch with me, Maru or Write and we'll try and work it in!

There will be a ransom notice to set people on the right track when the other suspects have had a chance to have fun.


Here's how you can participate in phase 4

The Search for Santa will be millitimed to Christmas eve, however we will get people started from the 12th December to give enough time for people doing both that and the final battle.

By this stage of the plot it will be clear that Jack is likely behind Santa's disappearance, and on Christmas Eve Millitime Jack will crash his sleigh behind Milliways and get himself nicked. Before being incarcerated, he leads the searchers to the forest so that they can access the portals to Halloween World (which only open with him near) and help find the one with Father Christmas in.

You will notice on the map that each square contains at least one tree. For one night only the tree will contain a door to Halloween town, and when you open it, you will get either a monster or a creepy thing. The rest of what is in your section of the forest is purely for your imagination, the map is just a prompt for ideas.

If you signed up for the search Audience Participation 3 you will need a teammate (unless you're doing an oom) and comment here to pick a square from the map above.

If you have not yet signed up and wish to please go to Audience Participation 3 so that people can see who is looking for a partner, and once you have a team (or are doing an oom) please comment here to pick a square from the map above.

The monsters and creepy things to find will be randomised to the squares once we know how many people want monsters, creepies, or are happy to find Oogie.

N.b. We are expecting you to NPC your own monsters once we have given them to you (like you did in the labyrinth last year). None of the monsters are intended to use lethal or life threatening damage on your pups, their intent is to stop you getting to Oogie, so your search thread ends either when you defeat the monster to force it back through its door, or you are too injured to continue and the monster withdraws.

IC, once Oogie is found, people nearby are alerted to the final battle, which we will go through nearer the time.
