I’ll make this short. Effective immediately, Ellie, Maverick, Mako, Archer, B.J Blazkowicz, Kuvira, and Connor Kenway are all being deleted, and Voodoo will be retired once Cam and I finish threading out his Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, at which point he’ll kick the bucket (in what will hopefully be one badass read). To those wanting to pick them up, you’re in luck! Happy threading.
The whys behind this would take up tons of back room space, and, quite frankly, are irrelevant. The TL;DR version is that over the past year or so, my interests have shifted quite drastically (ask me about amateur bodybuilding!), and Milliways has lost much of its allure to me - I simply can’t justify the time I spend here to myself. There’s also the fact that my writing style has changed significantly since I first came here (I was only 17 when I first threw Voodoo in!). My teen self simply saddled too much baggage and headcanons (that was/were frankly quite OOC) onto my favorite characters, and now that I’m older all that baggage seems like so much melodrama and shitty writing that only a complete reboot could take care of - and, to be completely honest: at this point, I’d have to start getting paid to care that much.
I’ll still be on Dreamwidth, and I’ll still keep all the associated character accounts up and running, and could quite possibly be talked into small-scale RP in the future, but I don’t think I’ll be back here anytime soon.
