Hola, M'ways. Just a note to those I'm threading with - Hannibal, Yrael and Ganymede, I think - I'm not ignoring threads, I'm just away this weekend. I have my phone so I'll tag stuff up tomorrow/reply to things, but I'll be sporadic until Sunday evening. Or maybe Monday, depending on how hard this weekend breaks me. <333

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!
No, I am not about to app Professor Farnsworth. I did catch an interesting tidbit about the latest Firefox update for those of you who miss LJLogin, though. Mozilla has finally added an easier way to juggle browser profiles, so, in theory you can set up a profile for each of your pups and switching between pup accounts would be as easy as switching browser windows.
Each pup will also have their own browser history, browser cache, etc. Even Google seems to be confused by this, so each pup will have their own search history.
Anyhow, I used to use this profile trickery before to keep my work, home, and RP lives separate but it required arcane knowledge about invoking firefox from the command line and a bunch of magic incantations and rituals involving flag waving. But now, all that is necessary is typing in about:Profiles into the address bar.
Addendum for Chrome: Chrome has had easy(-ier) profile switching for a while already. It's the little button at the top right corner of your browser window which is not the close, maximize/restore, or minimize buttons. It may be a little person or your name if you are signed into Google.
Addendum for Opera: you are still stuck with arcane command line and configuration file magics.
Addendum for IE: You can use File > New Session, but the profile it sets up is strictly temporary.
