bjornwildeWhat is the Milliways Secret Santa Holiday Exchange you ask? OK, you likely didn’t because it’s pretty clear by the name, but I’m going to pretend since we always have questions; being the inquisitive bunch we are.
What I am imagining is something like AO3’s Yuletide fic exchange, but opening it up to any sort of creative thing you’d like to produce, and I do mean anything. You can gift fic, icons, a playlist, art, lyrics to an original filk song, whatever! Only thing that matters is that is centers on the pup or canon the receiver requests.
So the process is simple.
1. Sigh up. Comment and copy/paste the form below:
Links are to give any sources to help your Santa in case they are unfamiliar with your canon.
Pref.Contact is for delivery and maybe for me to pass on any questions your Santa might have.
Santas:
Just leave a note if you are able to create a gift and maybe add a note if you think you can give a little extra. For those who think they might give extra, I’ll likely give a second assignment either this weekend or the week before. Depends on how many people sign up.
Most important, your preferred method of contact.
2. Do so by December 09. This will give me time to assign people and then time for them to do the thing.
3. Gifts will be delivered December 21st.
4. Bask in the holiday feels as you consume the thing.
5. Maybe after St. Nick delivers all of the goodies, I’ll make a backroom post so you can share the gifts with the rest of the comm?
FAQ, or the questions I can think of:
You do not need to sign up as a Santa if you just want a gift. Likewise, you don't need to sign up to receive a gift if you just want to be a Santa.
Yes, you can provide anything you feel like creating to fulfill the request.
If you are stumped, feel free to contact me and I’ll see about shifting the assignment. This is meant to be fun, so any requests like this will be met with a smile. I will be the point of contact/organizer to help keep things on track.
I’d love volunteers who’d like to make extra things, just in case there are problems.
ETA: Pup/canon can include more than one character or canon. This would just give the Santa more choices in the gift. Each Santa is only expected to give one gift, though they can certainly do more if they wish.
