Daily Entertainment.
What's your favorite little thing about the holiday season (if you have one)?
Right now, it's Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark chocolates. OMG so tasty. Basically any combination of peppermint and chocolate.
Tell me yours! Also have meeting this morning, so will not be terribly active until the afternoon.
Also, mods? Would it be possible to get a 'daily entertainment' tag inna backroom? :D?
ETA: Kate! How dare you? :D!!!!
ETA again: Go stalk Kate in hers below as well - apparently people get bored in the UK too. *shock*

. . . I'm not sure how that's different from having homework and lazing the day away anyway without feeling guilty.

That's odd. I just had a giant poll on my journal pitting Ghiradelli mint chocolates agains stuff from Mars (http://kali921.livejournal.com/177922.html?nc=73) as to which is cooler, and stuff from Mars won out, but Ghiradelli mint chocolate fought very, very bravely and came in a close second.
Also, the Ghiradelli chocolate factory in San Francisco is fun to visit.

And the Cerignola olives - I can eat two dozen in one sitting. Cerignolas are often hard to find, so thank GOD I live in a major metropolis.

LifeSavers Story Book (every year inna stocking. I don't even eat them, I just want to get them)
Au Bon Pain has these great frosted shortbread cookies that I might be willing to kick a child for.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra (so pretty...with electric guitars)
Know what I can't stand though? That F'n "Red Shoes" song.

This is also that time of the year when I start doing experimental holiday cooking. Last year, it was pina colada truffles. This year, it's key lime pie fudge.
And for this year, Sweeney Todd (http://www.sweeneytoddmovie.com/)! My sister got me into it and we're eager to see how the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp version stands up to it. Not to mention it's pretty much a Harry Potter cast reunion.
*on edge to see Alan Rickman play Judge Turpin*

Every year, I wake up early (the one day I will do so willingly) and creep downstairs to the living room. I turn on the tree lights and no others, and I just sit there in the silence (or with my iPod on), look at the tree and watch the sky get lighter and soak in the moment before everyone else wakes up and Christmas starts marching to its end. It's the one moment of the day when it's Christmas but it doesn't feel like the traditions are almost over for another year.
