Daily Entertainment.

Hey all! Thanks to everyone who put up DE posts last week -- It was one less thing I had to think about while on travel, and it was appreciated.

Now that I am back, have a question inspired by my trip: What is the best (or worst, or most memorable) trip your pup has taken to a universe not their own? I always like to say that Mal's best one was his field trip with Ace to Random Beach Planet, with glowy grapes and naked purple women. :D :D :D I read that thread now, year(s?) later, and I'm still giggly at it.

I'm wagering that She-Hulk has everyone else beat, because canonically our lovely Jade Giantess has been to the Baloneyverse. With HOWARD THE DUCK. (http://www.milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=fullsize&issue=73746012988%2014%20COVER) (The Baloneyverse reminds me of Harry Harms and memetic E-space in David Brin's Uplift novels.)

Hawkgirl? Hawkgirl's DC, and they're in the process of collapsing their multiversal experiences while Marvel continues to expand on same, so Kendra hasn't really been to many other verses. She hasn't been to any at Milliways, either, except the bar itself, although I suspect she's going to enjoy going to Clark's Earth as soon as I get my butt in gear and start that plot with Steph.

Lockjaw has been to more universes than every single Milliways character put together, and likes them all. He's particularly fond of the verse where the Kree deified him.

How to know you're too much into Marvel?

You accidentally misread Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skrull

Secret Invasion... yet another ridiculous crossover event, but maybe it'll pay off because we'll finally have a way to retcon some ridiculously OOC behavior on some people's parts...

I AM going to read the Black Panther SI tie in, and that's the only one I'll be reading on top of my regular pull list.

Because I saw the previews, and they fucking ROCK. You know what? Any alien race that wants to invade Earth should really focus on trying to take out Wakanda FIRST, because Wakanda is the apex of technological advancement and preparedness on Earth-616, and if the Skrull can conquer Wakanda, then the United States and S.H.I.E.L.D. won't be a problem. Seriously. T'Challa has protocols in place for Galactus showing up again.

Screw with Wakanda and you reap the whirlwind.

The SI three issues of Black Panther? Have some catastrophic Skrull-catalyzed event happening that nullifies Wakanda's technology, and then they all go at it hand-to-hand. Holy hells, that might ROCK.

Someone maybe that quip to my wife over the weekend, and now she has this catchy little filk song stuck in her head every time the new Indy film OR Secret Invasion comes up. And we aren't even reading SI.

I thought of you when I was looking at O'Neil's collected works of...well, you know who. They've just put out a new TPB collecting O'Neil's work.

Hmmmm. Will have to look for it, seeing as I might qualify as something of an O'Neil fanatic (not including Sword of Azrael - I have my limits).
