Hi, Milliways! Guest host Mandas here. How's your Thursday, so far? Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is the following:

You know when you're sitting around a campfire, or on a long trip, and you get to telling anecdotes or playing Truth or Dare? These stories that come out tend to be sweet, sentimental, or best of all, hilarious. I'd like to hear some of your pups' stories that they wouldn't necessarily tell to anyone except the closest of friends. The more embarrassingly hilarious, the better! You don't have to go into detail, but it'd be great if you do.


In other news, KotOR/Star Wars muns: The KotOR MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, has officially been announced. GameSpot has a pretty good writeup on it. The question is whether it'll stand up to the series. The screens have me a little worried, honestly; it looks like they tried to fit the cartoony style of the latest movie into the game. Yeeeah.

He does. Poor thing. When I apped him, I'd totally lost sight of how screwed up his canon is. When you can say, "Yeah, my pup's biological father is actually a redneck serial killer who was executed before he was born," and that is not the weirdest thing that happens, then you've got yourself a screwed up canon. I mean, it's a satire its own creators have described as "trashy," so all the drama and angst is just piled on with a TROWEL. And I decided to play it straight. *facepalm* I mean, to be fair, by the end of the play it's hard to do anything with Cal except play him straight, but still. STILL. I'd be embarrassed to give an OC as many problems as Cal's got.

It's a good thing Chrissie isn't actively evil, really. Forgetting about them, accidentally coming across them, and showing them to Maria because she thinks they're cute and then having no idea why Alan is so annoyed is more her style.

Thank you! And I'm overall having a lot fun with it. And the muns whose pups he interacts with regularly are very good-natured about his frequent attacks of Angst, which is helpful. XD I have the soundtrack available to share if you are interested. It is made of awesome.

Alan Jackson from The Sarah Jane Adventures, one of the Doctor Who spinoffs. He's the father of Maria, who was the lead character (aside from Sarah Jane, of course) last series, but left this series because the actress wanted to focus on her education. Alan is awesome because, when he found out the truth about aliens and all that, the show allowed him to remember rather than suffer convenient memory loss, and he has since played a significant role in saving the world on two different occasions. :D Of course, he's not on the show anymore either, which to be honest is fine by me, since it's almost like having a closed canon for him now, which is how I prefer to RP these days.

Yes! And the show gave them an exit that allows me lots and lots of room to invent stuff. I could even use it to set up some kind of plot, if the show doesn't beat me to it.

Mostly she'd do the teasing, the "snap in annoyance" or the "ignore it until it goes away" thing. Scolding would be too - hey, it would trigger her own angst! Yay!
