"Hey Leo," a twenty-something lady Luigi says, easing into a chair to take a break from her mini-Mario. "What's your sign?"

Saphlion's face breaks into a grin as she leans to pour the Lady Luigi (Ladigi?) a cup of tea. "Libra, actually," she says with a snort. "The stars apparently believe I'm balanced."

As if!

The stars are not in postion for this tribute!

"Well, you know what they say," Ladigi says, grinning right back. "'Stars!... Can't do it... Not today.'" She leans forward, gratefully accepting the cup of tea.

Saph cackles. "Just so long as they don't make anyone break into song. 'Filling the darkness with order and light,' my foot."

Complete with glancing over her shoulder to make sure that wasn't overheard by any toaster-owning Frenchman. >_>

Ladigi's smirk is small but soft. "Indeeeed," she says, chuckling. "Balls of gas burning millions of miles away, inspiring musical numbers, who would have thought?"

She waves her hand, reminiscent of a certain Disneyfied meerkat. "But better than their being fireflies. Fireflies that, uh... got stuck up on that big bluish-black thing."

"Because the sky is totally one giant sticky fly-trap," Saph grins. "Not comforting or inspiring at all."

She's having to fight back a yawn, still sleepy from having to get up early.

"So what've you been up to, lady?"

Augh, no yawning. Those are infectious.

"Going to sleep at a dumber hour and waking at a worse one," she says sheepishly, "and plotting fictional torture." Siiiip. "So the usual. What about you, lovely?"

"Ooh, sleep debt and evil plotting," Saph grins over the rim of her teacup. "A winning combination."

"I've been looking up gory Halloween baked goods, for ideas. Worst/best one so far is the skin-colored icing'd cupcake with a mango-flavored fondant maggot coming out of it," she gives a laugh, "which you can remove, and then squeeze out the mango-flavored 'pus'. These bakers, what weirdos."

Ladigi nearly screams--with delight. "Ohhh my gosh, those are disgusting!" she gushes, lighting up with a massive grin. "Not the best for a sensitive stomach, obviously, but I'd devour these. I like the severed hand, because whaat the heck. The fudge is clever, too."

"I have a fondness for the gross ones, just for sheer wtf-ery, but some of them are outright cute!" she says, sharing.

"Ahh, I love the pumpkin cupcakes!" she says. "They seem so simple, but they're cleverly done. I like this one myself."

"Things like Candy Corn Marshmallows just... fill me with joy," Saph chuckles. "And sugar."

"There are cool savory and healthier Halloween treats too, like spider deviled eggs, and ghost bananas and clementine pumpkins."

Ladigi raises her brows and saves those images to her 'Snacks' folder. "I wouldn't have thought of any of these," she says, and then grins. "And now I'm starving."

"Mwahaha," Saph smiles, beatifically. "My evil plan to spread the hunger for Halloween snacks is working."

"It is an honor to have your brand of evil inflicted on the bar, Miss Saphyria," Ladigi grins over her cup of tea.
