"You're thinking 'paddle' as a spanking instrument, either used on schoolboys in the old time, or as in formal sexual sadomasochism today?" Dr. Lecter states.

'Oh, either. Both. Or as a euphemism. All at once. Sorry, it's been a long day.'

It probably shows that I'm not in the least bit sorry, right? He's a smart fella. He'd pick up on it even if I were trying to hide it.

'But on that note, I think I should probably go to bed before I say something that'll get me into trouble. You strike me as a bloke who's only tolerant to a certain point.'

"I am," Dr. Lecter says. "At least I haven't asked for your business card yet, have I?"

He smiles.

"But yes, do that. I think I am going to have my electricity withdrawn as well because Maru claims she needs an early night. I hope I made you curious."

'Well, you could ask. But I haven't got one.'

I think, perhaps...I should never give my business card to this guy. If I got one.

'Definitely curious, ol' son. I'll watch your show when I get a chance. Don't expect me to like you though; I do generally like bad guys, but eating people's just a step too far. Still, I'll reserve judgement.'
