Post in with your pups who want to play and people can ask them their burning questions about canon and the pups will answer. Questions can be about plot holes, unexplained happenings, motivations, or whatever, and the pup's answers can either be thought out and explained (and of course the answers can be your own headcanon), or not! The Chief: is that a name or a title? and how does one get to be The Chief, if it's a title?

It takes a lifetime of training to grow worthy of the Chief title. Some people have spoken, quietly, of nepotism: how is it that the current chief is the great-granddaughter of the founder of the Acme Detective Agency? Others, more observant, mutter even more quietly about the striking resemblance between that founder and her great-granddaughter: the words reborn like a phoenix and necromancy have all been heard.

But no one complains too loudly: not indeed from fear but from the general agreement that The Chief is the best, the only, person who could carry the weight of ACME on her shoulders. (Especially since that one time she had to take the whole building on a plane and relocate it to Antarctica, what even was that.)
