Crowley arrives carrying a sword, his condition improved, if not by much, though he still really shouldn't be up and about. He enquires whether anybody present knows anything about bird anatomy. When Dr. Gottreich asks why, it is revealed that Crowley wants his broken wing set. He's not too happy about letting the doctor do it, and Tonks and Snow are very suspicious indeed, but it is decided that there's not really much of a choice.

Before they begin, Crowley asks Tonks for a sound shield around the table. This, it transpires, is a very good idea, because once the doctor grabs the wing and yanks, Crowley screams blue murder.

Once the wing is set and splinted, Tonks asks Crowley whether he wants a pain-killing charm. Crowley refuses, on the grounds that being numb all over does not facilitate sword practice. Tonks enquires as to the purpose of the sword, to which it is revealed that, should Aziraphale return and be 'not himself', Crowley has every intention of putting said sword to good use.

When 'Skandra arrives, Crowley wastes no time in retrieving his memories. They rather hit him with the force of an oncoming train and, exhausted, and not at his most stable to begin with, this slightly unhinges Crowley. 'Skandra's not too happy either, but at least Crowley and Tonks are more than willing to swim right along with her delusions of Troy. However, 'Skandra then proceeds to (unwittingly) punch Crowley in the gut. Repeatedly. Ow. Crowley, thoroughly gut-punched, leaves. 'Skandra and Tonks sob, and break the community's collective heart into teeny tiny pieces.

Raph'll be out of commission for the weekend.
HEY! Get your mind outta the gutter! It's not like that at all!
I'll just be away from the computer. My family and I are laying siege to Los Angeles.
Wish them luck.

Okay, so. Some really really important things have happened to Crichton today. Let's get right to the chase:

This afternoon, John walks into the bar and gets a little better at the whole talking-to-the-bar-without-wreaking-havoc thing. He then finds Raph, tries to talk to him, gets interrupted by too many things happening at once, and ends up getting sidetracked into a conversation with Death. Snarky comments are made, and Crichton nearly asks the famous question but stops himself, to Death's gratitude. He makes a couple of suggestions and succeeds in getting thoroughly confused. The discussion turns to Crowley, who is jokingly suspected of being gay.

Somewhere in the middle of this John promises Angie he'll teach her Rock Paper Scissors, and is introduced to Penny, who is finally someone who can talk about things Crichton is familiar with (though Crichton-mun, embarrasingly isn't.)

It's later tonight, and John reenters the bar in search of Tonks. They undergo the Meg-inspired plan to use a Pensieve to get the wormhole information Crichton needs out of where it had been locked in his memory. They begin, and Crichton immediately enters those memories most connected to where the information was hidden. He revisits his time in the Aurora chair, among others.

Finally, Tonks pulls something out of Crichton's head -- something she's never seen before. Crichton starts hearing voices, but tries to ignore them, as he revisits when the information was implanted in the first place. Finally Crichton enters into his memory of the event by touching his nose to the Pensieve.

This turns out to be a very bad idea.

---

None of this was really planned ahead more than one or two comments at a time (thank you SO much, Tonks-mun, you are AWESOME!), and as a result I am unanticipatedly taking Crichton out of Milliways the next few days (don't worry, I have other characters to play in the meantime *grin*). I'll post some trapped-in-the-pensieve out-of-milliways posts in the meantime, but sooner or later Crichton's friends will have to send in a rescue party.

When that happens -- and this is relatively important -- does anybody want to volunteer to play Scorpius? I need somebody who's seen Farscape at least through the end of season 2 and is intimately familiar with Harvey the Neuroclone. Drop me a line if you're interested at kimpire@yahoo.com, or message me on AIM, screenname Kimpire.

Thanks much :)

'Lisechen is, unexpectedly, going to be away from all forms of computer, phone, etc. for a while. We're not sure how long.

She sends her apologies to everyone that Death plays with. As mentioned, this was very unexpected, and she looks forward to coming back when she can.

Details are not forthcoming.

Hello! I was updating my friends list and I just noticed, it seems we have two Sam Vimes here ([livejournal.com profile] mister_vimes and [livejournal.com profile] amcw_badge177). Just thought it ought to be brought to attention.

Bruce-mun! Does this sweet, tragic little boy have a place to stay, or can he get back and forth from his world to Milliways?

If he needs a place, Door and Tom would be happy to invite him into the House of Arch.

Because even in fantasy land, I worry for the children...

Notes about Scott's timeline

Having two seperate and distinct canons gets really freaking confusing.

Right, I've found another one. [livejournal.com profile] diescroogedie and [livejournal.com profile] jollyfatman are both signed on as Santa.
