Pup-wise, I hope I won't be entirely out. Considering I packed my wireless card and laptop, and you can't go anywhere in American these days without tripping about half a dozen Starbucks with wireless access, I should at least be able to post people in occaisonally or write OOMs. Again, there's drabble requests on my RL journal (adiva_calandia) so go there and help keep me entertained!

Update on a character - some important things if your pup interacts with this one

Before I head off to bed, just wanted to post this, (I'll have forgotten about the thoughts in my head after too long).

This is Hotaru-mun, Scheherazade (if you're meeting me for the first time).

Before Hotaru left, she had two "great powers" within her. One was Mistress Nine - evil, took over her body, tried to kill all humans on Earth. The other was Sailor Saturn, good, and the other two things still apply. *heh...* These powers were both "asleep" in her.

Hotaru as she currently is is devoid of the Mistress Nine entity. She has died (fully, as herself, again as Sailor Saturn) and immediately after that last death, was reborn into this new life - her current one. She is fully awakened as Sailor Saturn, but, fortunately, without the nasty obligation to destroy everything all the time.

As an awakened individual, Hotaru may be recognized as a "good" force, but with a past in destroying her Solar System time, and time again, (to those endowed with powers that would *cough* notice such things. You may construe those things as you will).

She may also be interpreted as having a "negative" aura (negative in this sense meaning along the lines of "devoid of substance, or a vacuum," not evil), as I've best interpreted her Sailor Scout powers to be centered around that concept.

This is important if you interact with her, but may be used by those who won't know her, as well. Among other, "uncharted," abilities, (they're referred to in canon in small examples), Hotaru is very psychic. She isn't quite in control of these powers. She's the sort of person who would mumble a critically important truth about a circumstance or person(s) out of the blue, or, conversely, in a perfectly appropriate moment, and who will act like what she just said made perfect sense, (or maybe mumbling another line or two if questioned).


Examples: fighting with some enemies (who are actually good guys possessed by the enemy, unbeknownst to all of the other, awake Scouts, who've simply treated them as the other bad guys [kill first, ask questions later]), yelling to them, "You're controlled by nightmares! Wake up. Otherwise, you'll die." Or, a different example, being asked by other Sailor Scouts, after they have realized that she is "in the know," about what the hidden problem is with people very important to them (those individuals' bodies are slowly succumbing to an illness afflicted by the bad guys); she only takes a nearby rose in explanation, and presents it to them - it withers and turns black in her hand.

Basically, she addresses crucial and/or life-changing secrets - but, (so far) in obscure language/actions (thus, never revealing the full truth of the plot - a device Takeuchi most likely intended as such).

So, here are some things for THE WEDDING. *dun dun duuuuuuun*

First things first, musician types: I'm thinking two groups, one for during the wedding, and one for the reception.

Also at the reception there will be random not!live music, so that the musicians can rest but folks can still dance. Tonks and Bernard have a Rather Impressive, not to mention Very Eclectic, music collection.


For everyone's consumption -- Logistics
Think of this as a Lake Party which just also happens to have a wedding thrown in. Accordingly, there will be separate posts such as "Pre-Wedding," for the arrival of the guests and general milling, "Ceremony," and "Reception," the last of which will have sub-headings within the comments for stuff like "dancing" and "toasts." That sort of thing. This set-up will make things much more amenable to slowtiming, so yay.

Hi, as I mentioned in crackchat, and elsewhere, I'll be offline for the next four days, starting tomorrow.
Family trip to Lake George, NY

So anyway, what that means for my muns:

Peter Venkman's gone home to his NYC for a while.

Johnny Smith will be out of the bar, and at his home as well.

Joan Girardi's still Bound, but she'll be holed up in her room mostly.

Those are my main ones at the moment, so no worries about Molly O'Reilly or Rogi Remilliard, but figured they're not in the bar either.

As for the big bar-wide party, still want to do that, but with my loss of connection last weekend, and my limited time this week, it's going to have to be pushed back until the following weekend hopefully.

Hello everyone! It's taken them long enough, but they've FINALLY set up net access from the house we're renting here in South Carolina for the next month. This is a quick update from my dad's computer -- the laptop (with AIM) will be adorned with a router and made to live tomorrow, at which time I shall return to all you lovelies.

Tonight I spend my last hours of netless imprisonment typing up the monster of an OOM character development piece I did for Gorlim. It mutated into something that could almost stand alone as fanfic, and even has a title -- "Ascension of Swords." The world will soon come to realize what madness sprouts when Venna is left alone for five days with a writing pad, a tarot deck, and a copy of the Silmarillion. *cackles*

I would also like to mention that Asmodean's canon cracks me up.

EDIT: If anyone has plotty links I should know about, point them out here. I'm going to backread but it's hard to catch everything.
