This novel would not exist had I not been thinking about Bartleby and Charlie while grocery shopping one day back when that whole plot/relationship was going down, and had the thought, Hey, I wonder what they would be like in the real world . . .)

Okay, folks, since the capacity was there and it could be done while I was working on other things, here are your Car Keys assignments. Once again, unlike prior versions of this meme, each pup involved has two people assigned to them. Each pup has to make an entry post and tag it 'car keys'. Then the pup who was assigned to them has to tag that post, and the original poster has to go and tag the pup they were assigned.

I'm gonna suggest that people do this within the next two weeks if at all possible, but if you can't, do it when you can! Random interaction is the seed and the soul of freshly generated awesomeness.

If there are problems, questions, or objections- say, the pups assigned to each other have already met- let me know.

Hey there!

Just a warning, guys-- next Monday I'm leaving for MY FIRST EVER SEMESTER OF COLLEGE YAY. What that means for all of you lovely people is that it's quite likely that my availability will be limited given all the moving in and orientationing and shopping with the roommates etc. etc.

Therefore! Anybody who wants a thread with puckishly (looking at you, walksbyherself and quaere_verum_xi :D), shining_mercury, stopped_signal, or squeakersqueak should email me or ping me at Merky Dee and we'll get something going. CONTACT LIST!

So, first, the bad news: recently, the domain that was hosting the Milliways Contact List burnt down, fell over and sank into the swamp, taking our database of OOC contact info with it.

The good news, however: Rue, the original maintainer of said contact list, has graciously allowed me to build another one that will stay up. :D So...

The new URL of the OOC contact list is http://milliways.purplebrickroad.net/.

Since this is effectively a brand-new list, even if you've already put your contact info into the database before, you'll have to hop over there and re-add yourself if you want to stay on it. (Think of it as an easy way to make all those edits to your contact info that you've been wanting to make for a while! Or, er...something.) Like it says in the milliways_bar userinfo, adding yourself to the list is by no means a mandatory thing, but it's a good way to help us keep in touch with one another to plot, squee, or share o_O moments.

Also, unfortunately, because of quirks with the CGI script, you won't be able to edit your info once it's in there; I have to go into the database and change things manually. Sucks, I know. However, I'm hoping to make a "Contact List Updates" post once every three months to keep things current, so keep an eye out for those as the new list grows.

(...And hey, look at that, I made it through an entire post about lists without cracking a single Heroes-related joke. HAH. I win.)

HEY.

The only reason I'm demonstrating my glibness by making a whole post about this ("this" being HAY SUP NEW MUN WHAT'S SHAKIN AND BAKIN?) is that apping to this game, which I'd been watching WISTFULLY for a while, in the first place was done in a spontaneous and unusual (for me) bout of ballsiness that needs to be commemorated. I even did it on the first day instead of at 11:59:59 PM at the end of the week. You don't know me, but trust me, THIS IS A BIG THING. Maybe we could get a ticker-tape parade going.

So. WHAT ARE THE HAPS, MILLIWAYS?
