Aug. 13th, 2004 12:13 amHello everyone.
More vampires equals more fun.
I will be joining up with Lestat very soon; in the meantime I am still working out living arrangements and suchlike.

Mulder!Mun
Aug. 13th, 2004 12:34 amIf you're around, you might want to come into this thread if Mulder has regained consciousness!
Just a heads up! :D
Just a heads up! :D
I'd just like to announce that I am starting a support group for all those of us who've been traumatized by the recent developments in the Crowley/Az storyline.
So far we don't have any concrete therapy planned aside from clinging to each other and sobbing a lot. Suggestions welcome.

Aug. 13th, 2004 04:03 amRight, then. Backstory first:
Moiraine started getting lessons from Dream. Somewhat later during a threadzilla Dream loans her a key to his Garden (you know you want to add to it!), as she's learned most of the lessons he wants her to know. During this thread it becomes apparent that Dream feels rather protective and somewhat fond of the people that he's been putting through nightmares (yes, Anthy, you too) even though it isn't stated, mostly that came out over OOC comments on AIM..
The other night Rand al'Thor shows up, and refer to this summary here.
A day (or two?) later Rand goes back, and attempts to bring Moiraine as well.
It doesn't work. At all. Moiraine cries a bit. Dream gets involved. We're finally getting close to tonight. There is angst about the fact that Dream doesn't think he can help, so he decides to see if he can use the weirdness that is Milliways to make a loop out of the Dreaming and help Moiraine get free. Sometimes Dream is an idiot.
People get worried. But Dream is being noble.
Which leads to tonight:
Moiraine and Mogget have a brief conversation on poetry and freedom.
There is a briefer conversation dealing with the two demons showing up.
Dream gives Moiraine an extension on her time in the Garden, because she shouldn't have to go back to nightmares after coming so close to freedom. He requests that she tell him in more detail about when she fell into the world of dreams. She complies and he attempts to use that information to see if he can loop himself. It works. Kind of. Almost.
Peter prays, Moiraine tries to keep from screaming, Desire faints, and Will stares.
Despair helps Desire wake up, and the two of them have a conversation about Liz, Dream, and the nature of games.
Meanwhile, Peter realizes that the Keys to the Garden are part of Dream. He can't be dead. It is decided that he must be lost, probably in the Dreaming. A search party begins to be thrown together. They decide to use the WoT method of searching the dream world: each step is taken by need.
In order to get rid of all doubts between them, Peter takes Veritaserum. Moiraine is impressed, and asks him if he's a servant of darkness, plans on being it again, or is actually seeking redemption. She is pleased with his answers, and offers to take Veritaserum herself. Peter declines her offer and makes the Madb all weepy for the eleventy-seventh time tonight.
Will comes over carrying Ender Wiggin and agrees to help with the search and rescue. He doesn't have a key, but he's got the ability to look into dreams, so he's planning on hitching a ride with one of the sleepers. There is the warning that he'll just be another dreamer there.
They decide to do more planning before jumping into Dream's world, proving that neither of them are stupid. They also get Ender to guard the bodies while they sleep, making sure that the rescue party doesn't need to be rescued.
Meanwhile Dream freaks out
Everyone dies of the sleepy.

Aug. 13th, 2004 05:22 amIt has come to my attention that there has been harassment of a player in their personal journal.
This is NOT ON. If there are any problems, come to me or Sophie, and we will sort it out quietly. Personal abuse is unwarranted and frankly immature. If I hear about this happening again... I am so pissed off right now.
Funny how one person can spoil everyone's fun.

Aziraphael threadzilla summary
Aug. 13th, 2004 09:57 amAziraphael walks into the bar, looking most upset. He is spoken to by Hornblower about maps, the nature of Milliways, and whist. He orders drinks from Holden, and they discuss the nature of reality, Milliways style. Holden gets really rather drunk. George also approaches, and there is discussion of filing and Aziraphael's job, before George passes out. My my, young people today...
Popular soul that he is, Aziraphael has yet more conversations. Kassandra is very sweetly concerned with his welfare, and Aziraphael blatantly quotes a Paul Bettany character. *g* Tonks is concerned at him. More so, when she finds out what's wrong. They speak about the nature of grace, and make me all weepy. Tom talks to Tonks for a while, about current events, Venice, and dark wizards.
Crowley appears. And my day starts to really suck. *braces self*.
Aziraphael finally reveals what's wrong. He's been recalled, to Heaven. He hasn't been told why, nor for how long, but he's not hopeful. Crowley asks for reassurance that everything will be alright, which Aziraphael can't provide. He, in fact, really doesn't help. Crowley proceeds to utterly break my heart, threatens to break into Heaven, which prompts Aziraphael to threaten to Fall, and Crowley agrees not to let that happen. Whatever it takes. Aziraphael's calm facade finally shatters, and there is kissing, and declarations of love. Then Peter appears with bad bloody news. Aziraphael buggers off.
Hastur and Ligur appear, and proceed to inform Crowley he's wanted, in that bad way. Tonks offers help and is menaced slightly by Ligur, and Tom plots with her to help, even though they know it won't be of any use. Crowley is led off, but not before leaving Aziraphael's feather.
Aziraphael reappears, and Tonks attempts to return the feather, though Aziraphael refuses, giving Crowley's to Tonks instead, asking that she keep them somewhere safe. And, um... together. Tom is comforting and Gabriel is apparently out of the loop.
Aziraphael leaves, and is escorted back to Heaven.
I break. Into many, many tiny pieces.
I think that's everything.

Aug. 13th, 2004 12:13 pmSo I'm thinking, since Sirius is still in-and-out-unpredictably due to my lack of regular access, I'd like to make up a concrete excuse for him, cos illness doesn't really cut it.
I'd like to temporarily blind him for about two to three weeks. Anyone got any ideas? Anyone want to be in Deep Shit with the bar for a while? And/or needing to vanish in a flash of blinding light? :D

After talking with Aziraphale about his relocation, George passes out while talking with Crowley.
Upon waking and getting rid of her hangover with a bottle of Vodka and a bottle aspirin, she is joined by Todd. While talking, George notices a little baggie sitting next to them on the bar.
George is a little curious, and not worried about killing herself 'cause she's undead, asks if Todd wants to try it.
George asks the bar for some supplies and sets to work.

[Technically this doesn't really need a summary, but as I believe it's the longest thread I've participated in so far, I'm posting one anyway.]
Scott comes downstairs, orders breakfast, and meets Angelina. She asks him what he is, and he (without much prodding at all, really) spills the beans about his work. He then makes a really lame joke about occupational hazards, while Angie shows off. There's a blatantly obvious hint that Scott is familiar with the fictional HP-verse. ( I am subtle like brick.) Somehow this all leads to Raph's morphological predicament being discussed. Scott is startled at the passing mention of cross-species relationships and the conversation is put on pause while I take a hygiene break.
To Be Continued. Possibly.

The lighter side of things
Aug. 13th, 2004 04:08 pmSo! Whilst Tonks was having her poor heart broken (Nny, in case you were wondering, "I'll be waiting to greet you" was the emotional straw that broke the camel's back *sobs*), in another part of the bar she was having a grand old time with two rather nice young men...and no, not like that. Well. Not entirely, anyway. *grins*
Things start off when Holden arrives, blushing from the get-go, and offers to get Tonks something to eat. Tonks catches him up on some of the backstory, and Holden is about as subtle as a Bludger. Hee. They also discuss the nature of magic, and Tonks shows Holden what she really looks like.
As a side note, much applause to
ari_o for actually making me like Holden Caulfield. I honestly do not feel the affection for his character that many people seem to. So, well done, you.
Next, Luke Skywalker arrives, and wants to buy Tonks a drink to make up for his freak-out at their last meeting (which her mun thinks is awfully generous, given the high volume of fangirling coming from Tonks on movie night). They talk about lots of things, including Harry and stuff they're not proud of. Still feeling rather hero-worshippy, Tonks mildly flirts with Luke, and her mun makes her say stuff that is just plain wrong. *g* Tonks gets a lesson in lightsabers, prompting the ever-popular "here, let me put my arms around you and show you the proper way to do it" move from Luke. They compare weapons. Tonks leaves, a bit regretfully, but hopes that they'll meet again soon. Luke is cute, and his mun resolves to seriously hit on Tonks next go round.
AND FINALLY, Todd arrives in the midst of the Tonks/Luke thread and gives Tonks the brush-off, big time. Luke is less than thrilled about diverting his attentions from a young, pink-haired female to, well, anyone else, but gamely chats. They discuss sports, shooting, and flying, before Todd also spots Luke's lightsaber, scaring the crap out of Luke-mun. :) Luke talks more about his own life before bidding Todd good night and heading to bed.
Whew! So, um, yeah...the plot thickens. And Charlie is out for a bloody week and a half. Stay tuned.

Aug. 13th, 2004 04:35 pmElsewhere this night there was angst and drama and heartbreak, which is the only explanation I can think of for why this thread got so huge: it was a safe haven. Inasmuch as any thread with Paul's bare feet in it can be a safe haven.
First Anthy sits by the fireplace -- there is now a fireplace, if there wasn't before -- as Todd stands nearby it. After a while Anthy burns a rose and Todd says hello. Anthy is a tea addict, though why I find this relevant I do not know. Todd asks about Anthy, and the conversation tips over into crackland, as Todd discovers Anthy has a sword in her (and it sounds rather explicitly Freudian), duels and the revolution of the world come up, and Todd thinks it might be interesting to try it out.
Meanwhile, Meg bounces over. She finds out that there is a rose garden at Milliways, and is sort of informed that Anthy's curry was responsible for the body-switching, though it takes her a while. Anthy pretty much admits that she was responsible and implies that she knew what she doing!! -- no more quoting All Your Base, self. As the conversation has been going on for too long without gratuitous discussion of roses, Anthy, in an unusually good mood, offers one to Meg. Meg considers using the curry to help her audition, despite Anthy's "..." reaction.
As this is Milliways, Meg also manages to chat with Todd at the same time. Meg and Todd almost say "gosh" to one another. It is the meeting of the blonde blue-eyed super-cheerful people of DOOM. Meg still does not like school. If
be_holden were watching this conversation he would be dead of phony.
And the meanwhiles continue as Paul shows up on the "icky naked floor." Anthy gives him a lollipop, but Paul thinks it's gross. They discuss the amazing curry trick, and looking evil, and Paul's current occupation, which includes wasted innuendo.
Meanwhile squared, he chats with Todd. Paul wants to "bug" Hob, who he describes as "some old guy," a drunk, a pervert, and a liar. (Proof that Hob is a goat pimp.) Paul says he needs Neb-the-lion to kill Snoutman. Todd wants to visit the Pain Room again, but it does not happen.
Also, Meg and Paul crack my shit up with a not-conversation that morphs into a sort-of-conversation. Once they are done not noticing each other and wondering about wondering about trainsets, Meg upsets Paul by asking why he bothers to stay alive. Paul says it's 'cos he doesn't want to be nothing. Also that part of him is cut away. Meg is like, whatever.
Meanwhile's mother, Brian joins the party. He and Anthy both have to go home for a week. Anthy has friends, and Spongebob is probably on speed. Paul and Brian wave body parts at one another. Meanwhile to the nth power, Meg does not eat, and Brian is appalled. Also, Meg meets Hat.

Aug. 13th, 2004 05:30 pmBloody hell, y'all.
Well, tomorrow I move over to the house with no internet access at all. I shall DIE without my every-other-day brief Milliways fix in the form of Vivien's emails.
Hastur and Ligur? (Croup and Vandemar?) My poor poor poor poor poor poor poor Door. Darling.
Miss you all dreadfully. Cannot read smut due to possibility of family reading over my shoulder. *wibbles*

Aug. 13th, 2004 06:49 pm'lo everyone. Just curious to know if anyone has seen Spike around lately.
Also Dru and Angie (my other character) have nothing going on plotwise, apart from random interactions with Fleur and Ophelia for Dru and the occasional chat with Raph and snogging with Chrichton for Angie. Any sugestions for either of them can be left here or you can email me @ Requiem_2_a_dream@hotmail.com. Or IM me on msn at the same address. Whichever, it don't matter much to me.

Aug. 13th, 2004 07:49 pmWillow, Tere, and Bea will be out from now until a week from Sunday, as the mun will be cruising the Gulf of Mexico.
Peace.
Peace.
Yes, I have started them. Yes, we actually finished off one of the three threads.
Except that was, naturally, the latest (and shortest) of them. And it ties into something else now, which is nowhere near done.
I may just go ahead and post what's done of the first one or two now. Will have to think on that one. But I promise they'll be up one of these days.

Aug. 13th, 2004 10:37 pmI work at a clothing store, and during my shift this evening, do you know who walked in?
Charlie Weasley.
No joke. Spitting image. I didn't even have Milliways on the brain. And...yeah. WOW. It was all I could do to hold myself back, honestly.
Hmmm. I think I could've taken the girl he was with. She was tiny. :)
