Del shows up at Milliways and meets Horatio Hornblower. John Constantine takes some time to talk with her, but they're interrupted by the bar going boomy. Del doesn't like this at all and proceeds to drench the bar and the surround area--and people. She then threatens the Evil Kitty-Cat, as she has dubbed him, before breaking Horatio. Afterwards, she "fixed" the bar, at Barnabas' suggestion, though, remember, this is Delirium, and that means her fixing leaves her touch behind. *evil cackling*

She also takes a moment to explain the birds and the bees--sorta, ;)--to Snow White, in what has to be the strangest thing I have ever written.

I'm out for the evening *salutes all* well played, I must say. Thanks Mogget and Kassandra especially for plotting this lovely little blinding. Summary will go up tomorrow.

continued from here

Much later (after the shortest shower in recorded history, thanks to a hugefreakingspiderinmybathtubwah) Scott is lurking at a corner table when the bar blows up real good. After a few moments of munly confusion, he follows the chaos to the kitchen, where he's utterly useless - not a feeling he's used to or at all comfortable with.

He and Edward discuss Delerium's additions to the bar (which I almost typed "addictions." heh.) and Scott misses his family. Ed offers to be his "sister-brother," and an incredibly sweet scene ensues. Things take an unexpected turn for the maudlin, and there's a heck of a lot of hugging. Scott and Ed tell each other about their families, complete with visual aids. Scott waxes philosophical, and says goodnight. Desire-mun is devious.

And the moral of the story is: Don't confuse your "logout" button with your "make link" button. *facepalm* Sorry if any of the links are wonky, but I'm too tired to check them all. G'night, folks. *falls over*

So wait...does the bar look burnt down, or no? I thought Del fixed it. Fixed it crazy, but fixed it. I don't know. Don't look at me, I'm wrestling WOLVES.

I'm leaving for the rainbow city of Provincetown early Sunday morning, and I'm not sure how much time I'll have on the computer tomorrow, so: Anthy and Michael will be gone for a while. I'm getting back Thursday, but then I'm leaving again the next day, and will be rather busy after that for a week or so, so the period of time is indefinite. IC: Anthy's paying a longer visit home than usual. And Michael doesn't live here anyway.

I will miss you all and the crack. :-(

While you guys are gone, does that mean no more people are going to be accepted till you return?

I would just like to clarify that, I am helping Desires'-mun be devious *wicked laugh*

So, let's see if I can summarise this bad boy.

Sirius shows up behind the bar a little too late to announce the "menoo", and Kassandra comes by to chat, striking up a conversation with the Mogget Cat. Mogget tricks her into removing his collar, thus releasing his true form, Yrael. Sirius, meanwhile, is making small talk with Constantine and doesn't notice the danger.

Sirius is blinded by the cat's release, and injured when the bar is set ablaze. It should be noted that one of the things that was set on fire was the drinks cabinet, so if anyone wants to play with not being able to get the right kind of drink, they may.

All is madness for a few minutes (within the game and outside it). Events as follows:

John runs in to pull Sirius and Kassandra away from the flaming bar.
Delirium floods the bar to put out the fire. (later "repairing" it -- anyone got a report on what those repairs entail? Or do we just make it up as we go?)
Yrael is cruel to Kassandra, who scolds him.
Horatio rushes in to help John (this one in particular is scattered, so just, er, take my word for it.)

...and so then Yrael was all "Yo, bitch" and Delirium was like "Bring it!" and Yrael was like "Don't make me cut you" and Delirium was all "Yo mama" and Yrael was like "Later, ho"....

...and then Horatio Hornblower faints, to the amusement of many.

After Yrael fades, Delirium and Barnbas have an amusing conversation about books.

Constantine, meanwhile, has brought Sirius into the kitchen and applied first aid, of a sort, while half the bar also appears. I'm not going to go into heavy summary, Constantinemun can if he likes, but suffice it to say Sirius' burns are healed, Kassandra passes out next to him in the kitchen, and the muns all went to bed. :D Sirius is still flashblinded, and more info on that forthcoming in Kassandra's next Post Milliways Post :)

(Sorry to abandon you, Petermun! Can we pick it up again perhaps tomorrow afternoon? Sirius will have realised he's blind by then, but you can give him the Whole Bad News.)

To all of those doing the wonderfully long, well thought out summaries (as well as the short, but equally well done summaries), I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now that work is starting back up, and with grad school soon to be taking two stupid nights of my week, I fear I will not be able to spend as much time reading threads, and these summaries are literally saving my sanity.

I want to know what's going on, but I am not able to stay up late (teaching disadvantaged preschool children sucks the energy and soul out of you in a not cracktastic way) and I don't have Internet access at work, and it makes me sad, sad, sad. I will figure out a way to keep playing though.

So thanks again - I know what hard work goes into these summaries :) Your efforts are appreciated!

I am now the proud owner of a "Fuck the Demon, Damn the Consequences" mug.  GO ME!  Yes, I am Spiderine, a proud supporter of Teh Crack.  :D

I was looking for the posts that link to the cafepress.com store that has our milliways items so I could link to it, but I can't find any of them.  I also searched the cafepress.com site for "Milliways" but that came up zilch.

It might not be a bad idea to put that stuff in Memories so people can find it?  Just a suggestion.  I would do it if I could, but I can't find them.

Liz has left Milliways, and gone back to 1811 to marry Mr Darcy. This is how she got there. My apologies as this summary should have been done long ago, but it's kind of the summary of DOOM, and I've been procrastinating like a fiend. We've been plotting for over three weeks, building up for over two, and it's all rather complicated. I sigh.

The whole ordeal begins back with Liz's return to Milliways several weeks back. Background LJ-cut for length )

This is where the fun really starts. Peter confesses about the confession, and Liz is rendered largely speechless. Peter is unnerved by her reaction, as he should be. Liz learns of Peter's previous conversation with "a friend" (Desire), and hysteria results. Peter learns what caused the hysteria, and has a shellshocked moment of his own. There is talk of Endless abuse, then Liz begins to spill her own story. The backstory abounds, Peter faces the situation with stoicism, and internal angst permeates the air liek wo. Liz admits that she does not love Darcy (sending P&P purists screaming), and affirms her determination to go after Desire. Liz takes off, forgetting Darcy's engagement ring behind her. Peter picks it up and pockets it to return later.

Liz hunts down Desire, and the two exchange increasingly bitter and accusatory remarks. Liz finally insults Desire in a very Austenian manner and stalks off. Meanwhile, Peter looks for Delirium, hoping to speak to her and learn more about the Endless before he tries to talk to Desire himself. Del warns Peter about her Sibling's temper, and suggests that Peter pray. Peter then searches for Desire, and the two share a drink. Desire delivers a warning of its own, and asks Peter to speak to Liz before Desire loses its temper with her. Peter agrees.

Liz speaks with various friends at this time. She and Morpheus discuss Peter and Desire. Morpheus warns her against it and offers to assist her, but Liz refuses, given past interactions between the siblings. Liz talks with Raph the following (Monday)morning, professing the need for a distraction, and the two plan a Movie Night for the following evening. That night, Liz speaks with Anthy, who inquires about her (black) rose. The two have a very unnerving and wholly unintended conversation about life without dreams, hope or drive. It's all rather coincidentally explicitly foreshadowing.

After Liz is done talking with Anthy, Peter approaches the table, intending to warn Liz against Desire. It goes over like a ton of bricks. Liz guesses Desire's involvement in the planned speech, gets frustrated, and actually snaps at Peter. She promises to avoid seeking out Desire, but warns that if Desire approaches her, she won't restrain herself - the same thing Desire had previously told Peter about her. Liz gets up and storms away across the bar, and without even noticing, ends up two seats away from Desire.

Desire has been watching Peter and Liz's conversation, although it turned away before Liz's departure and did not see her approach. It sighs to itself, and Liz overhears, mistaking the words for a jab at her. The situation escalates rapidly. Desire makes some incredibly horrible statements, including insinuations that infuriate Liz enough that she slaps the Endless. Desire is livid. It forces Liz to sit, smile, and drink Scotch against her will, while threatening her with other will control. Finally, Desire demands that she reveal what she wants. The terrified Liz says what she wants most: for Desire to stop what it's doing to her. Of course, Desire interprets her formal phrasing to mean that she disavows it completely. It grants what it sees as her wish, snuffing all of her desires, and disappearing. I would also like to note that Bansh utterly scared me while RPing this. Fear her.

Tuesday night, Liz doesn't show up as planned for the movie night (an absence which was not planned, by the way), and people panic. Liz wanders in towards the end of the movie, acting very odd, and goes to the bar. Morpheus figures out what is wrong, and wigs out. Death and Moiraine talk him down. By this point, Todd (who has made a habit of shadowing Liz) is already at her side. Moiraine comes over to deflect Todd. Peter takes Liz away to try to get the truth of the situation from her, which he manages to do. She is operating on need, not desire, and is only concerned with her survival.

Wednesday night, Liz drags herself into the bar, feeling like she needs to do something. Will expresses concern, Cordelia thinks that Liz has been slipped sedatives, and Inigo Montoya (Liz's new bodyguard) wants to skewer whoever's responsible. Moiraine tries to question Liz on behalf of Morpheus. In another part of the bar, Peter realises that he still has Liz's engagement ring from Mr Darcy, and excuses himself from conversation to go return it to her. Upon receiving it, Liz recalls the duty involved with that engagement. As she needs, rather than wants, to go through with it, her sense of duty drives her. She breaks away from the group, hurries to the front door, and walks back into 1811, where Mr Darcy waits for her.

Other things happen after that, but as Liz wasn't around for them, I'm not touching them. I have summarised quite enough, thank you. If someone would like to tack the subsequent events in the comments to this, feel free. Likewise, if there's anything I forgot, drop it in. When you're summarising a plotline this expansive, you're bound to leave something out. EVER so much love to all of the people who played in this. This is the most fun I've ever had RPing. You're all incredible. :D

Raph doesn't do a whole lot of sleeping after Bernard returns. He does, however, keep his promise to watch and protect Fleur. Of course, with Raph "watching" and "protecting" has a lot to do with

me: What?
mom: We are going.
me: What?
mom: Your aunt's new computer needs to be put together.
me: ...so...
mom: We are leaving
me: But, but...*gestures at computer*
mom: *stares*

I would have had three hours to play at Milliways before being forced into helping my sister move back into her house.
Now even as I type this my mom is giving me a Look.
"I am coming, mom!"
*shuffles out the door*

GAAAH! It's a Saturday night, my mother has failed to yell at me to get to bed thus far, and there's only about three active conversations going on.
