This is just a general information post to the few people who may be interested, or whom this pertains to.

Andrew, as you may have noticed, has just started taking his medication again. He is taking 3 pills: Depakote, Paxil and some form of lithium which I don't know the brand of. I am not a doctor, so I couldn't tell you how these drugs interact. These were mentioned in Andrew's canon, and so that's what I'm going with. All of these are anti-depressant/anti-mania medications.

While Andrew is on his medication, expect him to be lucid, but generally apathetic and somewhat lethargic. He will not seem drunk, and he will be able to function normally, he will just appear disinterested in most everything. "So fucking numb," to quote him from the movie.

Guppy's mun is babysitting overnight on Saturday so he will not be in, unless the people she is babysitting for have internet access and tell her she can use it.
Guppy is around somewhere, probably having been magically tied up and left by Mitzi who is fed up of having to keep an eye on him and stop him from wandering off.
If the hellfly is killed while I'm gone he will change back to normal on Sunday.

On characters, change, and RP

I'm in the mood for meta. Deal.

It's occurred to me recently that one of the most important parts of playing an interesting character is change. The character has to evolve, to grow, to learn from mistakes and become something else. If a character doesn't, whether for IC or OOC reasons, they become boring. Sure, they may work to help move someone else's plot along, but their own plot, their own arc, will be stagnant. They will cease to move forward, and slowly become boring both to play and to play with. Outside plots and external events can postpone this for a while, of course, but in the end, the appeal will go.

For example, the only reason Anakin is still in the bar at this point is because there is baby!plot I want to finish, and because there are other characters who need him. However, as soon as the baby!plot concludes, I'm retiring him. He finished his character arc months ago. I knew what I wanted him to do and learn, and he's done those things. He doesn't *need* to do more.

Jenny, on the other hand, has barely begun to accomplish what I would like her to do. That's partially because I don't play her enough, and partially because it's not in her nature to do some of the things I want from her, so it will take time for those changes to happen. I can wait.

So think about it. Is your character changing? Have they accomplished what they need to do? Are they stagnant, or is there still more for them to learn?

So with all the latest character development Tom's been going through, I had a realization while driving to work. One of those "Huh, where'd that come from?" kinds of things that turn out to be kinda cool.

Before last weekend, if Tom encountered a boggart (and in HP canon, boggarts are creatures who take on the shape of your worst fear), he would have seen his nightmare vision of himself looking in the mirror and seeing Voldemort look back. This is because he was terrified of that happening, but also because it was still all about him before his epiphany. Now he would see his family in mortal danger.

And I thought, upon realizing that, that it was an interesting thing to know about a character.

So what about you guys? If your characters faced an HP boggart, what would they see?

I have actually watched the game for several months, so I understand a little. Like white-text and some of the slang. Still, please, any help or kindness would be greatly appreciated. I've never played in a game like this before or half as big as this one.

FYI: Minako is insane. She is very good at being a soldier and a leader when she needs to, but otherwise...she's nuts. Please, if she does something too crazy, just email me. I think I might have to get instant messenger just for this game. Oh my.
