Please know that he is a fictionalized version of him from the slightly irreverent novel "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff: Christ's Childhood Pal," and that I mean no offence to anyone by playing him. I'm only having a little fun and giving myself a good reason to reread the Bible, since I have trouble forcing myself through it.

You might see Josh get up to some cracky stuff, as the novel is slightly cracky--it introduces him with a lizard in his mouth--but there will be no sex, no hard drinking (in canon, he has a little wine here and there), no drugs, and no evil, or brainwashing, or other somesuch stuff going on. He'll be a boyscout, as it's bad enough I'm playing him, and I don't want to offend anyone by having him participate in in orgy or something (plus it'd be out-of-character).

If you would like for Josh not to approach your characters, please tell me, possibly by responding to this post or contacting me privately via AIM(whatever you're comfortable with). My SN's psychicsaphie. I'll take no offence at all if you're uncomfortable playing with him. I'm surprised I'm comfortable with even playing him, myself.

ETA: Bugger. Knew that was a bit fast. Josh will not be in the bar, nor finish any already established threads, until the app situation is sorted out--and even then, only if he is accepted. The mods have to talk over whether to accept him or not, as it's a rather sensitive subject, even a fictional version of him.

On Saturday, I shall be departing for sunny South Carolina, where I shall remain for the next month. I do not foresee this greatly effecting the volume of posts I actually get around to, but I probably won't be around during the day as much and will have to slowtime until evenings. I also won't be in chat as much. Woe, alas, etc.

On the up side, it will give me the time and mental clarity to do some really good writing. This will be our fourth year vacationing in South Carolina, and every year I've managed to produce something I'm really proud of. Life by the seaside is conductive to inspiration.

Self-summary a la Gorlim

I tried to do a summary that got to all characters involved in this plot, but I realized that that includes at least four characters Gorlim has never met (Roy and Jack and Mercutio and Holmes) and a good deal of plot Gorlim doesn't know about (Ramon's guilt trip a la Arithon, the truth-telling of 24 characters, and -- if I understand correctly -- Ramon's intentions to use the sword for any number of nefarious purposes), and that's a LOT. About half way through, I realized it's a little too much for me to do all the characters justice. So y'all are gonna have to do your own summarizing, because this one is beyond me. But I CAN give you Gorlim's angle, with links I kept in from the failed attempt at complete summarizing.

Hokay, so.

Important Public Announcement that probably everyone who cares about it already knows.

I have a final. On Monday evening. Studying for it is eating my brain. That is why I've not been online lately till late, and have been remarkably scatterbrained and, for the most part, have not been in chat lately.

What this actually means is that, if you want one of my characters-- like Edmund or Eris, Myles or Rabbit-- please let me know. Because they probably won't have entrance posts over the next couple of days, because I really don't have enough time (let alone concentration, which is the important part) to do a lot of playing while I'm studying.

See, then the fun thing? Is that I will be online on Tuesday! And if I have a brain, will be thrilled to play. (Odds of having a brain, meh. I don't know.) But then on Wednesday morning, I'm getting familially kidnapped out to Colorado for a big fancyschmancy family reunion.

On the bright side, this means that Sunday a week and a half from now, I get to meet Aspen and Viv. Much yay!

On the not-bright side, though, this means that (although I will have a laptop, and will be online, at least somewhat) I will be very limited in my online-ness, for about a week. To the extent that it's highly likely Mir gets to bartend by herself on the 5th. Maybe she gets to have a cardboard Edmund to stand up behind the bar, I dunno. I will be around if I can manage it, but I think there are Family Activities planned on Friday and Saturday nights.

So! Yes.

Official note saying that I will be offline a lot for the next two weeks, and then will be back.

And will miss all of you dreadfully while I'm gone.

Well, something quite dreadful has happened: my flatmates and I haven't payed the bill for our DSL-account, and that will probably take some time. Maybe I'll unvade a friends place or abuse my working place, or pay a whole lot of money to play via ISDN, but the odds that I won't be around for a while seem quite short. *whine*

I'm sorry if I haven't finished any threads I should have finished and hope to be back really soon.

Okay, I've got an idea for some possibly cracky plot. It won't start for a couple of weeks at least, but I wanted to get a little info all the same.

The trilobite tank. How big is it? In particular, is it big enough for an aquatic humanoid to stretch out in? Would there be any problems for said humanoid in using the tank for this purpose (aside from having trilobites getting tangled in his/her hair)?

We've got a major problem with the application system.

Those players whose characters have been very recently approved, as in the last few days... We're asking you to refrain from posting in until this is straightened out. Characters are being approved without any of us having done it, or even opened the app emails yet.

If anyone has any information about this, we'd sure appreciate it.

We've figured out what was up with the approving. It was not a hacker, but rather a really spectacular misunderstanding, so great yay. However, we do need to sort out which characters are involved, so please do the following:

If your character was approved in the last TWO DAYS (meaning Thursday or Friday), please email the mod account with that information, and let us know whether or not you've posted with that character in the bar.

Please continue to refrain from playing those characters until we let you know it's all clear.

If your character was approved prior to yesterday, you're fine.

Other applications can be sent to the mod account as usual.
