It has begun!

I've started a couple of threads, I have a couple more up my sleeve. Feel free to ping me. These are just being down ahead of time, they won't actually go into effect until the end of the plot... if anyone who hasn't signed on to kick other ass, want to, please tag here.

Evening, ladies and gents. This is your on-duty mod reporting, with your daily Cast List v. 4.0 update.

Everybody? Go here, clicky on the 'join' link at the top, and add:

all your active characters
all your characters that are retired
all characters that, rather than retire or delete, you would like to see adopted.

Do not add:

deadwood characters (and I don't mean the show); characters you apped but never got around to playing; characters you apped, played once or twice, and then forgot about, etc.
characters that have not been approved yet.

We'll be re-posting this message every day for about ~~four~~ three days, to give all the active muns time to add their characters. After that, we ourselves will go through the old cast list looking for the leftovers - eg: characters who should be retired, but whose no-longer-active-muns didn't see the post, characters who we know to be active but whose muns are unavailable, etc. - and add them ourselves.

When the cast list is complete, then the links to the old one in the comm sidebars and info will be replaced.

Until then, we ask that, unless absolutely urgently needed for plot, you hold off on apping new characters.

Fandom: Pick a fandom. If your character was on the cast list before, your fandom is on the drop-down menu. Yes, yes it is. If everybody would take the time to go through the list veeeery carefully, they would find their fandom.

IF YOU ARE RESERVING A CHARACTER, THERE IS, IN FACT, AN OPTION FOR 'RESERVED CHARACTERS' ON THE DROP-DOWN LIST OF FANDOMS. WAY DOWN THE BOTTOM. YES. VOILA.

So, if I were to reserve, for example, Jin from Lost, I would fill in the form like so:

Name: Jin (Lost)
Journal: N/A (NOT http://www.livejournal.com/users/N/A)
Fandom: Reserved Characters

I do apologise for sounding so patronising, but you would be amazed at how many inventive ways people can find to screw up their forms.

On that note, I am aware that due to people picking the wrong fandom/forgetting to type in a journal/forgetting to type in a name/etc, there are mistakes. I will be making a post to rectify these in ~~four~~ three days.

LASTLY - and this especially goes for the 50 or so new characters I approved the other night - CHECK THE CAST LIST BEFORE FILLING OUT A FORM TO ADD YOUR CHARACTER.

So. Gorlim has embarked upon a rather ambitious project: to teach Namo what it is like to be human. They have so far had two lessons.

The lesson of ~~schmoopily throwing stuff inna lake~~ joy. (threaded OOM)
The lesson of ~~English 101~~ pain. - threaded in-bar but turned out frelling awesome and must therefor be shamelessly pimped. Millitimed to yesterday night.

Number two comes with a warning for extensive copyright violations, emotional manipulation, and minor self-injury. And tons of angst. For the sake of giving credit where due, the poems in that thread are as follows: "Sonnet" by Hillaire Belloc, "The Waking" by Theodore Roethke, "In a Dark Time" also by Theodore Roethke, and "The Return" by Edna St. Vincent Millay.

And in a quasi-related piece of even MORE shameless self-pimping, this poem was inspired by Merc and the Namo scene but is actually mostly ABOUT (or rather, directed to) Ramon and Arithon.

Warning: Mun plans to grant very few LARGE wishes at each go around, and will probably have a "Wish" day every few weeks...so if you have a major wish as opposed to a minor, passing thing, you may have to wait a bit.

I know there are only two Shakespearean characters from the same play (as yet, but someday there will be more Romeo and Juliet characters, even if I have to intimidate people into bringing them in), but we're all from roughly the same universe, aye? It might be fun to do some plotting and co-ordinating and brainstorming.

Sooooo, a Shakespeare plot comm? Aye or nay? (With mods' approval, of course.)

I am working on a plot for my mun that I would like to involve two previously ewstablished characters from the Highlander the Raven universe. One is a mortal friend and the other is an immortal that appeared in one episode. The thing is that I would like to have her take his head, but I am worried in case someone would want to bring eother of these characters into Milliways that they would already have cannon. In the case of the immortal Victor, he would be dead.

So I am asking if it is alright for me to have Victor kidnap Lucy and Amanda take Victors head? Sorry if this seems like a silly question but I am new and trying to learn what liberties I can take.

Okay, so some people have offered to help Lincoln and Jordan take down the Institute when they go back to their own 'verse. As I remember, the list of volunteers included

lt_naraht and... that might be it, as far as actually going back through the Door with them. (If anyone else decides they want in, then no worries, the more the merrier!)

Here's the thing: the four Island-mods could only just work out getting an escape thread scheduled (Tuesday night, for the interested). It may be that we have to come back for you all, which actually works better. That would give them more time to plan, especially since they'll have knowledge of their world by then.

To Samantha-mun and Jack-mun and Chelle-mun: Frankie no feel good. Frankie not in mood to RP. Therefore, Frankie pleads (more) slowtime and apologizes for being a flaky role player. I should be around in some capacity on Tuesday--although priority on that day will be given to studying and editing. If you want to fade threads with Tony and Jed, 's fine with me.

So like, tomorrow (if I manage to wake myself up before noon), Illyria and Fred are going to meet.

This is going to cause substantial doom, and I had hoped that people who know both or either would like to join in the doom. Because I enjoy giant doomparties, and because quite frankly, the less I have to tag in succession as both characters, the less stress my brain will be under.

Also, I don't want it to be an rpsterbation-type thread in which I'm threading with myself all afternoon. Because just. No. This is going to be one of few times I let the two interact directly in the bar as opposed to in the occasional OOM.

All I want to know is: would people like to be involved in various doom-interrupting ways? I will welcome pretty much anyone who wants in, even if you've only met one or the other once. I'd really welcome it if we've interacted more than once. Or, hell, not at all, if you really care - it's going to be hard to miss the doom of two similar-looking women freaking the hell out on each other, so feel free to notice even if you're just a bystander. So if you want in, let me know either here or on AIM or at some point tomorrow. I'll be starting the post sometime afternoonish but if there are enough of y'all involved it can go til whenever - slowtimes, whatever. I just want to get some sort of basic coordination so that my doom doesn't suck.

In conclusion: I am here for plot. Plot with me.
