Hey guys!

As you may have noticed, there is now a Camille Montes - from the latest Bond flim - in bar. The actress playing Camille is Olga Kurylenko, who is the same PB that [livejournal.com profile] aimedforthemoon has.

Despite this, Camille and Esfir do not actually look identical. Esfir is about 4'10, fair-skinned, dark-haired and very, very Russian; Camille is a foot taller, with brown hair, olive skin, and is Bolivian (father one of Spanish elite, mother Russian). At a quick glance, they look completely different, and while at a closer look they look similar, they really can't be mistaken for each other.

Thanks!

Seeing as they haven't gone up yet -- Sunday Indulgences!

What awesome stuff have you gotten around to this week, in role-play or otherwise? Share it and rejoice! The one day you get to strut your stuff, come up and get on the catwalk.

:D?

Father Mulcahy has left several signs in the bar. Clarifications! For the past several years, I've handwaved that he has held mass upstairs on Christmas. This year, I'm going to try something new: being less lazy! There will be a post in Mulcahy's journal with a brief summary of the service and some snippets from it. There'll also be some cookies and punch and other things, for afterward (not provided by the mess crew of the 4077th, so with actual tastiness!), so folks can tag in if they want. If you want to say that your pup attended but don't want to tag in, that is a-okay; if you want to say that your pup attended but don't have time to tag in, you can always let me know that they attended and I can throw some mention of them being there into the post. I'll be putting up a link to said post by tomorrow at the latest, so that it can be millitimed and posted to the bar on the 25th.

As the sign says, the service will be Roman Catholic but everyone is welcome, and Mulcahy's also willing to give other denominations a shot, including a Shabbat service for Chanukah. Anything that isn't Roman Catholic, I would probably ask to handwave, since my own limited experience with all things religious begins and ends with Catholicism, but I'll very happily handwave as requested!

As for the other sign, it's been a while, so I'm re-posting it (and this)! What it means: Father Mulcahy is more than willing to hold Mass; perform baptisms, weddings, etc; hear Confession; or just listen. If this is something your pup would take advantage of or would want to do, we can handwave or thread things; I am available by email at not.an.effing.barbie-at-gmail.com. Contact me and working things out can commence! All I would say, as a disclaimer, is that it is the Christmas season which means that my availability is wacky, and that I think the idea has a lot of potential and is something that the character would very much want to do, but as for me: I am doing my absolute flaily best, but am a very lapsed Catholic, and definitely not a priest. If you happen to be in the know and see something wrong, please, do let me know. Thanks! :D

Though it's on rather short notice, there's a party being thrown for Axel tonight. Any and all friends and acquaintences of Axel are invited to come hang out, dance, drink and chat through here. The post will be open indefinitely, really, so don't worry about tagging in late. Come thread, threadhop and have fun. ^__^

Hello, Milliways!

As of this post, there has been an -- incident, upstairs. Now, the fire was contained to just the one room, but (with permission from all of the appropriate parties) the smoke alarm and sprinkler system in the rooms around have been set off.

What this means for you:
If you want, you can say that your character's room was one of the lucky ones nearby, whether or not they were actually present when the sprinklers went off. If you want, you can say that your character and/or their stuff didn't get soaked, but that the chaos down the hall was noticed. You mention in an EP that there seems to be a group of wet and cranky people in the bar. It's a silly crackplot, as big or small as it's made; it's entirely opt-in, and very easy to ignore, if that's what you want to do!

But being mean to characters is totally fun.

If you'll excuse me, we'll be over here having a lot of fun. :D
