Aug. 15th, 2004 01:37 amYou know, I was going to come and play tonight, but I've an exceedingly crappy night at work so far, so I'm just going to curl up in the corner of the office and whimper quietly. Thanks to all for providing the lovely, lovely crack, but it's just not enough tonight.
*hugs you all*
Hi from a brand new crack addict!
Aug. 15th, 2004 01:45 am'Prom' Part II.
Aug. 15th, 2004 02:34 amThe real idea behind having a 'prom' was to provide some sort of gathering for the younger characters - the teenagers. Proms were the only thing I could think of, the only social event, that are 'officially' for teenagers.
Since people are having problems with that idea, I'd like to propose a formal party/dance out on the lake, or by it - for the young 'uns only. The only adults allowed, if any, would have to be chaperones. Ginny's player and I are trying to arrange this, so we would like to approve them.
There could still be some sort of cheesy theme, which we're working on.
Anyway, feel free to offer suggestions here now.

Aug. 15th, 2004 03:26 amOk, this is the first time I've done a summary so bare with me if i totally screw it up.
Angie's evening starts with her coming into the bar and summoning a rather large book, as well as writing equipment. She is joined by George who asks her what she is doing, and Angie explains the situation with the turtle for which she is partly responsible. They talk about the turtle (former) for a little bit and George asks Angie what she been doing for the past few days. Angie gives a short list which includes 13 year old girls, chair puppies, secret organisations, and nucleur fission kitties attacking her man. George replies that she got a car, which Angie finds quite funny. They talk slitting throats with a Kitchen Guillotine, Falling Pianos and living in cartoons. Discussing the Gravelings responsible inevitably leads to Georges death at the hand of a flamming toilet seat. Angie discover that George was a virgin when she died and George gets defensive. Angie expressis her wish that she had waited for the right guy and George asks for details. Angie tells of her first time . George wants names which she doesn't get. They discuss pick up lines about brooms, and how many other impressionable young girls where nabbed by that particular line. George gives her story and Angie pitys men, especialy those who come up against the soul stealing dead girl. Angie and George discuss possible uses for cutting spells and plot the havoc they could unleash on men together, plus making a certain phrase much more literal. They discuss bar mix up's before George has to leave for work.
As mentioned at the end of the conversation, I'm going to be writing a Fic of Angies First Time and submitting it to Millific, once my memebership is accepted (though i understand the mods away at the mo, so i don't know when that's going to be.)
And now i declare myself officially dead.
It Takes A Stag To Properly Skin a Cat...
Aug. 15th, 2004 10:15 amSummary post for this evening's thread with Nuclear Fission Kitty:
A Mogget dressed as a 'Gomet' walks into a bar. He speaks to a wary Snow, and Kassandra joins them. Snow and Kassandra have women's intuition. Snow has enough of it to haul her kids out of harm's way, but not before promising help if Kassandra should need it, where Gomet is concerned.
Kassandra offers literal hospitality. The kitty's not biting. Mogget offers a song, and they talk about what love is. In a timely and brotherly manner James joins the table, trying to lure Mogget into eating bread and salt.
Bad kitty.
Mogget sings, a very very apropos number; Kassandra cries and gets girly, and James remembers a key culinary point and dazzlingly, has an antlery tete-a-tete --again literal --with Mogget. Kassandra scruffs the cat, demands her weregild on Sirius' behalf and lays the smackdown, because that's her man blinded in the backroom, dammit. Snow offers the Vorpal Sword. It does not go snicker-snack. But things all sound rather explicitly murderous.
Mogget concedes, and Kassandra wibbles.
On his way out, Mogget threatens James.
Bad kitty.

Aug. 15th, 2004 05:45 pmEep!
I suddenly am working a double shift tonight, so I won't be home to chat until around midnight, EST. I hope you guys are still up and around. I didn't know I was going to work this shift until two hours before it happened (I'm working for someone who called in sick--time and a half, baybee).
Apologies for the late announcement.

Aug. 15th, 2004 06:12 pmTonight Odysseus is coming into the bar.
Kassandra doesn't so much have friendly thoughts about him, but I do. Odysseus-mun knows canon she knew about Helenos! even if she does admit to reading Fitzgerald :D . This should be a great time!
Tune in at approximately 8 Central, 9 Eastern!

Stupid Newbie Questions!
Aug. 15th, 2004 07:51 pmSo, is Barnard the stand-in barkeeper? Does this mean we order stuff from him when he's around? And when you order and he's talking to someone else, does your order just materialize like usual, or do you have to wait for him to give it to you? And, do you have to wait for the barkeeper-player to actually give it to you, or can you write that part yourself?
*is absolutely clueless*
*does best puppy-dog eye impression*
Help, purleaze?
it's summary time, kids!
Aug. 15th, 2004 07:52 pmA word of caution: These are the LONG parts. Part four is promising to get pretty long, but these two combined make a Threadzilla and a half.
( part ye first )
( part ye second )
If you'll excuse me, I should go be social for a bit now.
ETA: The first of these two threads just hit 100 comments. As such, it's quite possibly the first two-person Threadzilla in the game. (Only took us a week and a half. XD)
