So tomorow my sister is coming home. This means that my RP time will be cut down to approximately 0 hours, 0 minutes and 0 seconds a day because I'll be spending as much time with her as possible before she has to leave on Monday or Tuesday next week. There will be crazy last minute x-mas shopping, much bonding with my new baby niece [who, by the way, won't be born till next June, and is probably a baby nephew, but still :)] and lots of sitting in a bathroom being comforting while big sis, AKA Mum To Be, throws up everything she eats. Morning sickness sucks apparently :(

If anyone wants to get me for plotting purposes I'll be contactable by E-mail only. You can find my E-mail in the contact list.

Sorry, I'm poking about instead of doing useful work, and I noticed that the cast list has been updated and looks much prettier and more structured than before.

Sneaky Ninja Attack Mistletoe™

Tonight (EST), when Eros enters the bar, he will be pleased to notice the presence of mistletoe. However, he will become upset upon noticing how his fellow patrons are, in general, treating it - i.e. avoiding it, cursing its name, giving it ugly looks, etc. After a short conversation with the sprig (they speak the shared language of lurrrve) Eros will decide to give the mistletoe Sneaky Ninja Powers™.

Basically, the original mistletoe will hang in the same place. However, if it notices anyone actively avoiding it, or generally being mean, it will duplicate itself. The duplicate will then, with Sneaky Ninja Skill™, move until it hangs above that patron's head. It will do so in such a way that it never actually seems to move - if you're looking at it, it will hang perfectly still, looking innocent. But once you look away...

The only time the magic mistletoe will actively react is when someone tries to pull it down. In that case it will dodge, ninja-style, pulling just out of reach. It, however, is easily destroyed by, say, magic fire or something along those lines. If you do burn up or otherwise pulverize a Sneaky Ninja Mistletoe Sprig™, the others will stay the heck away from you.

As far as I know, Richard and Peter have never spoken. How does Peter know about Richard's kitten and who she's named for? He really hasn't talked about it to very many people.

I don't know if you followed this, but . . .

About a year ago, someone announced a chimp that was controlling a "game" through a brain implant: A ton of wires inserted into it's brain, that was supposed to read the chimp's neural impulses that controlled the arm. The arm was given a joystick to control a remote-location robotic arm to manipulate blocks.

After reading the chimp's brainwaves, they wanted to turn off the joystick. Before the scheduled shut-off, the chimp stopped using the joystick, using only its brain to move the robotic arm!

Today, Harvard University has announced that a totally paralyzed human research patient has been doing the same thing, with a game they call "mind pong": moving a cursor around the screen!

Okay, I've got another theory regarding Milliways, this time to explain why some patrons who are apparently solidly Bound vanish for extended periods of time with no IC explanation. I started to develop it when Luke-mun was trying to come up with an IC reason why he left Val for so long.

They are stuck at the Big Bang Burger Bar. It is the opposite of Milliways, and patrons stumbling through a nondescript door near the bathrooms will find themselves there, and are frequently Bound for undetermined periods of time. We will not be setting any scenes there, because that would invalidate the purpose of it. Characters who were stuck there will likely have met, details to be worked out by the muns in question.

It's a crazy theory, but that's normal for Milliways. And it's cannon.

So! Valentine is going to be conducting a Speaking. She is going to be doing it in the traditional way, standing in front of everyone and giving an oration. However, I, as a mun, want to make certain that everyone who wants to participate can. So, I give you a poll! Please vote on times/days you can attend, and I'll do it from there. Tomorrow afternoon I'm getting on a plane to see my dad and his family for the holidays (yaHOO, I am getting away from the cold) and so I'll be back very late the 27th. Well. For a given value of late, anyway.

Absences: not_descending has gotten unBound again and is celebrating with her dear kitchen implement. nomoreparley is off pirating somewhere, and presumably still unwashed. walksthebounds has been in once, I believe, so he won't be missed, though he will be coming in after I get back (yay missing trousers). kabeleced is, er. Off, somewhere, doing something. My RL kind of exploded this past week so I didn't get a chance to figure out where he's going to be.
