Last-minute Guest Daily Entertainment!
Good morning! At Steph's request, I will be providing your DE for today.
Let's call today Cognitive Dissonance Day!
What casting in TV shows or movies makes your head hurt because of Milliways?
For example, The Jacket explodes my brain every time Moiraine and Raven are onscreen together.
What about you guys?

I'll have to see if any others occur to me on my way to work.

I...kept thinking: Oh yeah, that right there? That's an icon. And that's an icon.
He was on House too, so I have a whole SLEW of hospital icons as well.

Fantastic Four, on the other hand, is just hilarious. TYCHO CELCHU -- WITH SUPER POWERS!!! Thankfully, movie!FF is a totally separate entity to 616!FF in my mind, otherwise reading comics would be an interesting experience.
On a similar note, I guess Lexie is good at the brain-breaking PBs or something, but the one time I watched the US version of What Not To Wear I was terrified the entire time. Why is Isard giving fashion advice? DON'T LET HER NEAR YOUR CHILDREN.
no subject
Especially the last one!
Dear LORD -- what nefarious scheme would get Isard to join the on-air staff of that show?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Star and Edward are going to be a movie being all cute and happy and in love soon! And this is painful to think about, even if I have to see if for her!
AND ALLIE PLAYS JANE!
My head is has issues. >_>

That is definitely brainsplodey.

Also, Underworld and Van Helsing, because Amy does NOT need to be dressed like Kate Beckinsale is dressed in those movies.
I also frequently have moments, watching all kinds of stuff, of "Hey, that's so-and-so's icon!"

The Jacket gets me too, especially because I think of Moiraine AND Lizzie. Which leads me to the brain pain of Lizzie and Beckett in Pride & Prejudice!

That would hurt, that last one.
Ow.

My brain tried to crawl out my ears when they introduced an admiral played by Ramon's actor. RAMON GET OUT OF THAT SHINY NAVY UNIFORM RIGHT THIS INSTANT.
Also, well... The Fallen's voice actor in Revenge of the Fallen was Tony Todd, and one of the Primes was voiced by Robert Atkin Downes. So it was Transformers: Revenge of Gordon Freeman's Bitchy Vortigaunt Friend, with one of the legendary ancient leaders of the Cybertronians being the Team Fortress 2 Medic.

My brain, however, rebels at the thought of Ramon in a Navy uniform. *cannot cope*

But then she went and got famous on Gossip Girl and that didn't really stick in my mind so much.
I did used to be kind of particular about whether or not I'd use Veronica Mars icons for Elle, but I've become more lax about that. Sort of.
Lyyyyyyyyne I think I'm sick -___- I don't wanna be in Civ Pro.

I saw Becoming Jane the other day and continually expected Jocasta Wiggs to assassinate Will Scarlett.
It's not exclusively Milliways, but Life is so totally the Renee and Charlie show I keep calling Dani Renee in my head, and thinking that Charlie Szasz's last name is actually Crewes.
And before Bing gets up, I must mention that Transporter 3 is really Raph and Alanna going on a roadtrip.
no subject
(Truth re: Life. It is uncanny!)
I miss Jocasta. She was fun. Though I bet she'd liven up The Princess Diaries 1 and 2 a lot.

Well, it's definitely RAVEN.
Now I want to see that movie, just to add in your storyline.

Baby face Fiona as the woman Al Pacino tangos with in Scent of a Woman. Just. NO. (I refuse to see the Tudors.)
Michael Westen popping into Crossing Jordan as a LAWYER. (He's a spy! He's just after your intel!) Also, Touching Evil makes my head hurt. He almost has emotions in that one.
Earl showing up in Deadwood with the foulest mouth. (An Angel's work is never done.)
Any time the Gecko shows up looking like an industrious tool of the corporation. Man, that guy can act.
There still needs to be Mills/Qui Gon/Raz Al Ghul hilarity at some point.
no subject
Maybe the red suit could show up in-bar someday!
I have never gotten over the Touching Evil/Burn Notice character thing.
EVERY TIME I see his face it trips me up.

I'm greatly looking forward to Kara Thrace, data analyst and Leoben Conoy, Russian mobster on 24 in January.
Law & Order|UK is delightfully full of Lee Adama flirting with Martha Jones.
Upcoming on Warehouse 13 tomorrow night, Saul Tigh and the head of Baltar's judges as the parents of Myka Bering.
This season of Dollhouse brings Lee Adama marrying Faith Lehane and recurring roles for River Tam and Wesley Wyndham-Price, plus the return of Romo Lampkin.
And coming this Winter, Caprica, featuring Spike and Methos.

*sad*
Seeing people in modeling things is often jarring for me, though. Especially the really super-stylized ads or photoshoots.
One time an old PB of mine did one where he had plastic breakfast foods attached to his face. I have no idea.

Though...anyone who's seen The Wire knows exactly why I've swapped Braff out for Lombardozzi. Someday Raph'll take Fuzzy Dunlop out of the Lost and Found. Someday.
I have one Icon of Raph that's really Jason Statham, only I didn't know it at the time I made it? And then I saw the frame in the most recent Transporter movie, where he's driving around really fast with this really thin red headed woman.
It was the Alanna and Raph show.
And then there was a love scene and it BROKE MY BRAIN.

David Straithairn as Arthur Spiderwick leaps to mind, since he's so firmly Whistler in my head that my brain stops at 'WHAT IS WHISTLER DOING DRAWING THINGS HOW CAN THIS BE.' (Oddly, I was fine with him as Edward R Murrow...)
Jesse L Martin on Law & Order gives me a headache, when I see it, because Collins is kind of the opposite of a cop. Also, Taye Diggs on Private Practice/last season's crossover episodes with Grey's Anatomy (Equilibrium didn't, possibly because the main difference between his character there and Benny is 'guns').
And then there's one that wasn't a problem, at first, but now it is.
See, I saw one episode of The Big Bang Theory last year, and I thought it was fun (also, THEME SONG BY BNL, YES PLS), but I fail at keeping appointment TV. And then I saw Dr. Horrible.
And then we went to my grandparents' and there was an ad on the TV grid for Big Bang Theory and Moist went '...what the hell am I wearing and who thought that was a good idea?'
so yeah.
(I also can't watch Castle because my brain keeps going 'CAPTAIN HAMMER NO,' but that's more Joss Whedon's fault than anyone here.)
For extra credit, though so far it's elsegame, I recognised Orange County on TV once because Mom surfed past a bit that was in the IMDb photos when I was making icons for

And I think Levar Burton had a bit part in it as well.

Then enter in my sister. "... Hey, isn't that the guy from 11th Hour?" "Yep! He plays a bad guy in this one. Rather similar to The Illusionist where he plays insane royalty. ... He's better at playing bad guys, I think."

I don't make her new icons a lot because I search and headvoice and I both go o.O, put your clothes back on.

Returning After Class
Writing this reminds me why I adored playwriting classes because the dialogue of Jane and Tom and then the Winchester boys just cracks me up far, far too much.
There won't be much of a plot since I suck at those but its going well.
Re: Returning After Class
*victory arms*
Dialogue is my favorite. I do not know if that is obvious from my RP tags. But. Um. Yes. *g*

*eyes Elijah Wood in Happy Feet*
Best part is that millicanon went down waaay before HF.
Also I guess Ava as a crazy sexual werewolf is surprisingly apt.
She would be one if she could.
no subject
I am, however, trying to envision Ava as the Ginger from the third movie -- the prequel -- with identical sisters with the same names in the 19th century wilds of Canada.
I can only see her being all 'GET ME OUT OF HERE'.

Seeing the Russian astronaut as a prostitute is fairly high on the list.
But I must admit that watching Casino Royale was fun. I kept going "...Delia, what are you doing with Bond?" (the answer being, of course, that Delia would quite LIKE Bond, I'm sure)

I have a hard time watching Patrick Swayze movies that are not To Wong Foo. My brain runs out of cheese very quickly. XD
